Chapter 2

15 years later...........
I woke up on the couch, that's were i usually end up most nights. I hear Monty and his girlfriend Delaney giggle as he try's to sneak her out. It's a normal thing in this house, He's in love. He knows i am his best friend, i'll always be there for anything. Delaney is a sweet girl. She has this beautiful blonde waved hair and has dark sea green eyes. I've known her since Monty was in 4th grade, he's liked her since then. I see monty walk down the stairs with his mini suit case that he takes to stay at Ezras. Monty decided that he wanted to live with the both of us, but when we decided to separate he asked for us to share him. Knowing him i said yes, but deep down i felt cold. I never wanted to split up. He did, i agreed cause he was serious about it. Over the years i've watch him fall in and out of love.. well up until Geneva havlet. They got married around 7 years ago, Right after we graduated. I was invited to the wedding but, i didn't go i used the " business meeting" excuse which i don't normally use. Since him i haven't dated much, I was really in love with him but he wasn't ready for a life together. The day he told me he wanted some time, i slept on the beach. I was wearing my white beach skirt and a black cut off tank top, i remember sinking my feet in the sand and laying my face in the towel while the warm shining sun tanned my back. I cried for hours and then let out all my frustration by throwing rocks at the deep blue water. Later that week i bought my lake house. It 100% was an impulsive decision but i think it was the right one. I stretched my back and then threw on the t.v., i quickly fixed up the throw pillows and folded the blanket i used to keep me warm. Monty grabbed two waffles and so i ran to the kitchen to help out. I pulled out the whipped cream and strawberries. " What time is Ezra coming" i ask, Monty replied "actually he should be here in the next 10-15 minutes". "Ezra asked if you wanted to come with us to wonder kingdom, i'm taking Delaney and i think Geneva and her brat are coming" Monty giggled, I shot him a look and said "I would love to spend a day in a room full PDA and a demon child"i roll my eyes and say, "your loss" Monty smirks. I hear a car horn outside, Monty throws out his paper plate and kisses my forehead. "Bye ma" he says and wheels out his suit case. I watch him fist bump Ezra while getting into the passenger seat of the car. Ezra looks up a shoots a wave, i smile and close the door, every time i see him i think of old memories. I remember my parents were fighting about monty and I staying or them supporting me but from a different house, I called Ezra crying I didn't even ask him but within the next 14 minutes he was there by my side. He helped my climb down my window and i got into his car. He played music and we sang all the way down to the beach. He parked the car and we took a walk, right up until we found the perfect spot to watch the sunset. He kissed me all the way down my
neck, i felt his soft lips brush against my skin he started to make his way down, he threw himself on the warm beach sand while holding me. I lay a beach towel down on the silk soft light sand, We kissed. "Are you sure" Ezra asked while unbuttoned his shirt "more than ever" while undoing the tie on my dress. That was my first time. Well it's what i consider my first time based on what my actual first time is. We slept on the beach cuddled up under a palm tree covered in a blanket. My alarm went off "Shit I have to get Monty from sisters house. My older sister moved out at the age of 18 she never finished university but she is a extremely successful business owner, She used to take Monty some nights while i studied for school. Her and i didn't get close until after she moved out, I miss her a lot. Ezra starts to pack up the towels and i start the car. "Do you need any help i ask him" he throws me a towel, It starts to rain so we ran to the car. By the time we got there we were drenched, But we laughed it off we made everything fun and lively. I sat down on my couch and let out a sigh, i reach over to my mac book and open it up. I proceeded to search up online dating websites, i needed to get over him. Its been 15 years, this is far to long to be getting over someone. I sign up for a couple dating websites, you know just to get into the groove of things again. "i feel good about this" i say to myself. I check the time and go up stairs to change. I have a walk in closet that's full of hand me downs and bathing suits. In the back of my head all i can think of is if i'm ready for this, this is a huge step. I hear a buzzing noise come from my cellphone, I stop for a second and take a deep breath in. The only person who can calm me down is Monty, so i texted him

I open my email to see a notification from that dating website, I was matched! I stalked his profile from my phone for a while.  I finally got a message from him so i run down to my computer and open the site.

That was it, i'm going on my first date since Ezra.
