Chapter 8

We struggle to paddle but we do. We escape the shark and start to calm down on the outside, on in the inside i am shaken. I thought i was going to die, i thought there was no going back. No one says a word  because we are all in shock i mean anyone would be. I look back and take a glance at the beautiful ocean, i just needed another breath to take it all in. I was reading the distance as a sign of peace from the former events, I breath in and out. I turn around and start to head back, i look over my shoulder one last time to make sure we are in the clear and there's a fin following, "GUYS IT BACK STAY CALM" I scream as loud as i can. I try and stay super calm but i continue to panic. Mica screams and starts to cry, we look for the fin to track it down but it's fully submerged in the water. Once we didn't see the fin the four of us started swimming as fast as we could even tho the salt water was painfully cleaning our open wounds we swam to the best and fastest of our ability. All of sudden the largest thing i've ever seen launches itself out water, i watch it's smooth belly touch the sky as it picks up Chase and takes a giant bite out of his stomach. Chase was in pieces as we saw two more sharks surround his blood, they feasted in his sweet smelling remains. Tyler screams and crys as we scurry back to shore, As he had just lost his best friend. We eventually hit a sand bank where we can stop and breath. In the distance we see pieces of Chases remains surrounded by dozens of sharks at once. Tyler ran over to me crying as he is the only one who doesn't have defective legs at the moment. He lets out one painful scream, as if  he was just stabbed 30 times. I walked out with a shredded leg wide open to where you can see my bone , Mica had a bite mark in her hip and she is missing  a pinky finger, but Tyler only had one arm left, i guess trying to save us the shark tore it off of his body. He puts his head onto my chest and rests on my breast as he sobs so loud. As Tyler took a minute of realization next to us washing up was Chases board. It was untouched, not a scratch dent or slither. He was so brave, he risked his life. Chase was a hero. We see a police boat in the distance and start to wave it over full of tears blood and fear we all Cry aloud "Here, We're over here" " Please help us". I look into the ocean and cry so many tears of joy that i'm alive. The boat arrives and one by one help us up. Immediately we are brought to shore to be examined. They called all our emergency contacts, Ezra was there for Monty, I had Luca and surprisingly Micas Ex showed up, Tyler's emergency contact was chase, and he had no one else to call other than his ex, so he did. They unload us off the boat and put us in stretchers and oxygen masks because we are so panicked we can't breath. i start to fade of "am am aaaa i can i take a take a little take a little nap maybe " i ask the nurse " No" he says " i need you up with me, i'm going to ask a couple questions " the nurse says. I hear the sirens go off  and that's when i let go and started to fall asleep. As i start dozing off i'll a hear is chatter in the distance. I watch the nurse with a blurry view, as he starts to check my eyes. They tilt me up so i can see just a little bit out the back window of the ambulance. I see a pair of hands grab onto the step ladder handles. Luca? i think to myself. I need to see him, i need him here with me holding my hand and telling me everything will be okay in the end. As i watch the man pull himself up, it's no other than Ezra. They shut the ambulance doors and they start rushing the three of us back to the hospital. In the car i watch Ezra stroke my hair and he's crying. Is he crying over me? He can't be. I feel my hand getting picked up and squeezed, he brings it close to his face. So close that i feel his tears on me. No I love Luca i say to myself. I repeat it over and over. But i just can't help to think to myself, "does he still love me". SHIT i just said that aloud. We arrive at the hospital and they unload me and the other out of the  ambulance. I feel shaken and worried, What is Ezra heard what i said. I watch him walk up to me, Ezra whispers something to the doctor and then he helps the team of nurses bring me to the emergency room. I watch him walk out of the room and walk towards Luca, after that they put me under anesthesia, i hear the doctors say as i doze off "We put to much, she's lost to much blood for that much anesthesia". That's the last thing i hear before i completely fall asleep.
