Monty

Chapter 7

I used to hate dropping Monty at school, i was the youngest parent there. All the judgey looks like was a hooker or something, it hurt because the parents would take their hate towards me out on Monty. Most kids loved him and wanted to be his friend, but the parents would go out of there way to make sure Monty wasn't any kind of an influence on their child. Which is amazing to me considering my kid is so brilliant, he has had multiple scholarship offers from several university some even in different countries. He said thank you but he wants be in his home town so he turned them all down. Which i understand. Basically we learnt a lesson "The losers will always win at some point". To me this means Luca might be my win, the thing that i waited for. I've lost so much, and i was hurt but this might be my happy ending. After last night on the beach i was in cloud 9 for the rest of the night. We walked and talked about life, Until we hit the beach bar which was having a late night party. We walked over and he swept me off my feet. I looked into his beautiful eyes as i saw myself in his pupils. I pushed my self into is lips so soft to perfection. I am in love

I need him
He spins me around so that my back is facing him, he hold me tight and throws his arms over my shoulder and we sway back and fourth. My heart beats so loud i feel it. He bends down ever so slightly above my shoulder and whispers something in my ear "Ilene, i love you". I melted. My smile is more noticeable than the Cheshire cats. I start to pull myself back into him then turn around and i passionately kiss him. After a while of dancing and drinking  we got ready to leave and headed to the car, we talked the rest of the way. I needed this night. When i arrived home i called Mica right away, i didn't miss a word of what happened when i explained to her about the magical night i just had. When i woke up this morning i stretched out and smiled, and then it was back to reality, i called Monty and popped to eggos in the toaster, we pulled out the fruit and it was back to the same old cartoons. I got up our old sofa and threw on my favourite bikini blue floral bikini top and some black bottoms with a pair of white cover up shorts with little pom pom hanging down from the bottom, i threw back my long super straight hair in a pony tail i grabbed my wet suit and threw it in a bag and then grabbed my surf board. "Where you going ma?" Monty asks "Surfing at wachici" i say as i make a lunch for myself, "Aight make me a lunch too while i change" He says while running up stairs, "MONTGOMERY BRING THE BLUE BOARD I HAVE THE WHITE ONE AND I DIDN'T WAX THE ORANGE ONE YET" i yell to him. I call Mica and tell her to head over. Me and Monty pack into the car and we Meet mica at the beach. I set up a table where we throw all our lunches and towels on. By the time Mica was done putting on her wet suit a guy and his friend headed over. "Hey are you guys going out" he asks me "Yeah you guys are welcome to come." Mica says flirty, " yeah it's only our third time so we like to be around people who know what their doing just incase" the guy says. I introduce everyone to them and they reply back with " I'm chase and this my Tyler" "well alright Chase and Tyler let's get going" Monty says as he picks up his board. When i surf paddling is definitely the hardest part, It takes us about ten minutes or so to get far enough for the waves to start getting in. Mica, Tyler and Monty catch the first wave while me and chase wait for the next one. I laugh as hard as ever because Chase started to wipe out in his board, it's a fantastic feeling on the water. I hold on to the feeling i had last night while Luca told me he loved me. I was embracing this feeling throughout my body and felt so amazing. I hold myself up through a curling wave as i ride right through. We surfed for about an hour then the five of us sat on our boards and just talked. The water peaceful, so calm and so collected and then it happened. Something tugs me under the water, i don't feel any pain but it has my board. i swim to the surface of the water and try not to panic. Mica tells Monty to head to shore to call the police. I feel this great pressure hang on my leg and i scream, Blood was everywhere all of a sudden. I get pulled under. I see Chase dive into the water to retrieve me. They get me back on my board and i can't feel my leg, i mean i can see it on me it just has to feeling to it. Tyler takes off his shirt and starts to apply pressure on my wound. Chase was hanging on to the side of his board when the shark took him under, he screamed and didn't get a breath before being dragged down. All of a sudden Mica dives into the water. Since me and Mica both are in marine biology she knows what action to take unfortunately under this much panic you start to forget what your mentor taught you. She pulls up chase and gets on the sharks fin she is trying to get a grip on top of the 11ft beast. She is swallowing so much water and finally she starts started to drown. I have no choice, i dive into the water and Tyler follows me , We push mica up to chase so she can breath, they get on their boards trying to catch their breath. Tyler and i still under water try to scare it, Tyler grabs the sharks eye and i dig my nails insides it's side. That seemed to scare him off because all of a sudden he was gone. The water remained still, and we were replaying the trauma in our heads. The four of us paddle back to shore but three of us made it back.
