I had made my way back to the secret cave in the forest. A small huff left my lips. Kyojuro wasn't here tonight. Sitting down I grabbed a match from the bag to light a new fire. Grabbing a few blankets I curled up by it to warm myself up.

I had learned a lot of new things today.

So far I was able to know the ranks of every demon and how much power they could control.

Unforntelty I still had no idea what this power was or what it could do. I also still hadn't learned anything about the demons living deep in the forest. I was lucky not to run into any yet but you think they would've been mentioned at the start.

Opening the book I glanced through the pages we read.

I picked up the other book I had read with Kyojuro and glanced back and forth between the two.

Comparing the two I stared at them in confusion.

The book I had read with Kyojuro was definitely Latin but this other one was different. Although the title of the book seemed to be normal Latin it hadn't even occurred to me that there was something off. Was this book really in Latin? I figured since I couldn't understand it that was the only option but the words looked so different. The words didn't actually make any sense. Not like Latin made sense to me to begin with.

Although the man did say this was one of the most difficult to read. Was that what he had meant?

I placed both books down turning my attention back to the flickering fire.

Tomorrow I definitely wanted him to read more of this strange book to me but there was more I had to do.

I needed to investigate the place a bit more and maybe even figure out where those other humans would go to eat or sleep.

Since there was no way anyone could survive off no sleep. They didn't look sleep-deprived or too thin either.

Plus maybe if I were lucky I would be able to find Kyojuro, but at the same time maybe not.

I didn't want to get in his way but I didn't like being left alone. I still wasn't sure if I could trust that other man yet but he seemed to be kind.

Therefore I wanted to give him a chance after all I had gave Kyojuro one and things worked fine.

I snuggled more into my blanks letting the heat of the fire help to warm me up. A small yawn left my lips and I let my eyes shut. Whatever awaited tomorrow I'd deal with it then.

I woke up the next morning stretching out my arms.

The fire had disappeared completely and I threw the blankets off me.

I grabbed a small snack and water before sneaking out. I held the book close to my chest.

I slipped into the church without being noticed. It wasn't hard to find a human walking around. Taking in a deep breath I decided to follow them.
