The next morning when I had awoken Kyojuro had already left. I pushed the blankets off of me and stretched my arms out.

I already had my day planned. Since Kyojuro would be running all over the place trying to look for this 'friendly' demon, I planned to hide away in the library.

Hopefully, the nice man would read to me again if he was there.

I picked my book back up off the ground and left the hideout.

I carefully approached the entrance of the church. It was early in the morning so there weren't too many people around.

I snuck inside hiding behind pillars as I made my way down the hall. When I got to the last pillar I peeked out.

The next hallway was the one with the creepy statue.

Nobody was down it at the moment, but that could change in an instant. Sucking in a deep breath I stared at the end of that hallway. I couldn't see anyone walking toward it.

It was now or never.

Finding some courage I took in another breath before sprinting. I ran down that hallway as fast as I could.

My heart was pounding in my chest at the idea of being caught.

I was nearing the statue when I felt my heart drop. I could see a hooded figure heading toward the entrance of the hallway ahead. I stopped running almost falling forward and looked around the room.

A place to hide that was all I needed.

My eyes scattered around the room until they met the statue once more. There seemed to be a small spot behind it. Wasting no time I ran over and squeezed myself inside.

I peeked out watching as they walked by. My heart beat rapidly in my chest. They hadn't seemed to notice me and their gaze was staring straight in front of them.

A small breath of relief left my lips when they were finally gone.

I was still a bit worried after the stunt Kyojuro had had pulled the other day. If they had seen me with him then theres no doubt they'd assume I was also an intruder. Which meant from here on I had to be a little more careful.

I glanced up at the statue and once again felt my adrenaline pumping. Maybe I was crazy, but was the statue staring at me? Its red piercing eyes met my own, but there was no movement.

I could feel chills creeping up on me. Whatever it was they worshipped here, something told me it was terrifying.

Once the sound of footsteps had finally faded I looked back out. The coast was clear, I squeezed out from the statue and hurried toward the other side.

It didn't take me long to make it to the library. Like before I had no choice but to hide behind pillars and avoid people.

Once I made it to the entrance of the hallway I walked down the red carpet.

I could already feel the excitement building up. Knowing I had one more reliable person here put me more at ease.

As I got closer to the entrance I slowed my pace. I could hear chatting coming from inside the library.

I moved to the side of the hallway and approached the pillars at the entrance. I peeked my head over, gripping onto the book tighter my gaze stopped at the table I had sat at yesterday.

My eyes lit up as I noticed the same guy, but it didn't take long for my expression to change. Some odd-looking man was standing beside him as he flipped through the pages of a book.

"As I said before, don't you think you spend a little too much time in here?"

The man ignored him as he continued to read his book.

"Why don't you just--"

"Silence."

The odd-looking man shut his mouth and let out a sigh of defeat. The man appeared to be a demon. He wore one of those red robes, but the hood was down so I was able to see his long blonde hair, but what was he doing talking to him?

"Don't you have anything better to do?" He shot the blonde a cold look and the man replied with a laugh.

"Your right I guess I do. It seems we have a r~a~t!" He said singing the last part.

His cold gaze intensified and I felt even myself beginning to get scared. I backed up a bit in fear and almost slipped on the carpet. The demon shot his head in my direction and my eyes widened. His eyes were all sorts of colors, it was like a rainbow. I hurried back behind the pillar, my heart hammering.

"Hm, what's the matter?"

The blonde was silent for a moment.

"It's nothing I just thought I saw something."

I put my free hand over my mouth.

He hadn't seen me? There was absolutely no way he missed me. His eyes had seen mine, but why?

"Leave me be I have things to do."

He let out another sigh and footsteps began to head my way. I retreated closer to the back of the wall and held my breath. All he had to do was turn around and he'd see me. As the man walked by he hummed happily while playing with the fan in his hand. As he made his way further from the library I let out a shaky breath.

"Miss you can come in now."
