"Raven... Am I the one you love?" I asked her again but she still wouldn't answer. I sighed. "Come with me." I pulled her by the hand out of bed. Within a few moments we were standing on the roof.
"Robin?" Her tone was apprehensive.
"Shh. Don't talk. Just look." I pointed to the skyline's silhouette painted against the deep purple sky. "I like to say you can see clear to Gotham on a cloudless night." She nodded slowly entranced by the beauty of it all. "Raven look at me for a moment please?" She turned her head but a few inches but it was good enough for me. I took her cheek gingerly in one hand and kissed her gently.
"Robin- I-" Raven pulled away but i caught her around the waist.
"Shh don't speak." I pulled her closer and once again kissed her lips.
"Robin.. No." With that she ran off.
*Jinx's apartment*
"Hello?" Jinx opened the door."We need to talk." I shoved my way inside.
"Sure. What's up?"
"He kissed me." I blurted the news out without a second thought.
"What? What do you mean he kissed you? What about Starfire? What about Drew?" Jinx began her cycle of a million questions.
"Okay one at a time." I put a hand over her mouth. She bit me.
"Okay first." She took a deep breath. "Who?"
"What?"
"No that's next. Who?"
"Robin?"
"Okay now what?"
"Kissed me."
"When?"
"Like 10 minutes ago."
"Why?"
"I have no idea."
"How?"
"How what?"
"How did he kiss you? Like was there tongue?"
"No! I pulled away and ran off!"
"Why would you do that!"
"We already discussed why!"
"That was why he kissed you! We are now discussing why you didn't make him yours right then!"
"Jinx!"
"Right." She took another deep breath. "Okay so what about drew?"
"I dumped him this morning.. Robin overheard." She eyed me carefully.
"Has he still been sleeping in your room? I thought the nightmares were over now?" I couldn't bring myself to meet her eyes. "Raven?"
"I don't know jinx. I really don't. Nothing makes sense anymore."
*Back at Titans Tower*
The elevator doors open and our steps Raven. It's around noon meaning she has been gone twelve hours. I can't help but stare at her even though she avoids my gaze. The emptiness in my core was finally filled last night, the moment our lips met. I had been thinking that I was delusional and nothing I thought was real up until now. All day I had been questioning whether she really had kissed me back in the beginning or if I was crazy. But now I know. "I love you too Raven..." I said it quietly but I could see her ears perk up like a dogs and the corners of her scowl pull up a bit.*Robin's room*
I tried her door but nothing I did could open it. She really has bumped up security. I rubbed my arm where I had been electrocuted by her door. 24 hours ago I kissed Raven, the half-human half-demon but fully enchanting love of my life. I was lying in bed smiling when the door opened."I'm coming in." Her voice was quiet and gentle. There was no trace of anger. I quickly sat up and pulled the blanket back a bit next to me. She sighed. "I can't.."
"You can." When I spoke I was so sure of myself. Her eyes widened a bit at my confidence but hesitantly she made her way forward. I wrapped her in my arms and kissed the top of her head. "When will you stop fighting me?" I found myself asking.
"When will you quit seeing Starfire?" Her voice grew cold and she ripped out of the perfect snuggle we had settled into. Next thing I knew she had fled my room and I was left alone to ponder her question. What should I do about Starfire?
A//N: Sorry this is so short for such a wait but the next chapter is really good!!! Or it's supposed to be. Romance isn't really my thing so if some of the more romantic parts are awkward I apologize that's my personality showing through.
