(Sam's POV)

When Quinn called me Sam, my heart broke. I thought we were moving forward and then that dude shows up and ruins everything. I'm just glad Quinn figured it out. Thank God for Emma's strange taste in men. After an identity test that was covered up with a drug test, it turned out that the guy was actually Quinn's biological father, but also a wanted murderer. He paid a face surgeon. My Quinn figured that out.

I smile at that thought, but then my heart breaks a bit again. 'My Quinn'. She was so happy about calling me 'daddy'. Why'd she stop?

I make some toast and pour some orange juice into a glass. I take it upstairs to her room. "Sweet? Hungry?" I ask. My Quinn is lying face down on the floor and shrugs. I chuckle slightly. "Are you okay? What are you doing?"

"Dying." She replies.

"Damn. Depression at the age of four. Maybe I should do something about that, huh?" I ask

"Damn's a bad word." She tells me.

"It's an adult word." I correct. "I know what will stop you from dying." I say. I set the toast and juice on the floor and sit next to her.

"What?" She asks, not moving. I start tickling her sides. She starts to laugh and tries to wiggle away from me.

"No, but seriously," I stop, "What's wrong?" I ask. I make her sit up, but she shrugs again. "Are you upset with me?" I ask. She nods. "Why?"

"You were gonna give me away." She mumbles.

I pull her onto my lap. "No chance. I would've stole you." I tell her. "Is that why stopped calling me 'daddy'?" I ask.

"I thought you didn't want me anymore." She cries. I wrap my arms around her.

"You know what? Eat your toast and drink your juice. Then we'll go to a flower shop. I'll buy you a flower." I tell her. She nods and does what I say.

We get to the flower shop soon after. I buy an artificial red rose and give it to her. "The day the last petal falls of this flower, is the day I won't want you anymore." I tell her. She nods and hugs the flower.

"Why doesn't it smell?" She asks.

"When you're older, you'll know." I smile. "Come on, let's get home, it's nearly bed time."

We get home and I get her ready for bed. ONce she's in her pajamas, she runs under her covers and grabs her new book. I chuckle and lie down next to her. I read one chapter before kissing her forehead. Once she's asleep, I stand up. "I love you, my Princess." I whisper.

"I love you, daddy." She mumbles back and opens her eyes. I laugh and shake my head.

"Goodnight."

"Nini." She closes her eyes again. I leave the room and close the door quietly. 'My Quinn. Just mine.' I think.
