(Third person POV)

And that, is when a miracle happened.

Now, whether it was God smiling down at the photographer, or his best friends love, or the five year old's tears, is unknown.

Maybe it was the science, or maybe it was luck, but as a father with a broken heart called the poor woman, and as the little girl cried at the loss of a family member, the deffibrilation shot managed to find it's way through the veins, to the heart.

The vital signs monitor re-started and the waves rised slightly. Quinn paid little attention to the small beeping sound that was being made.

And as she hugged the dead body of Austin, she had no chance to see the small twitch of a finger that was made. She had no chance to see his eyes open, but as she felt the faint heartbeat, her own heart started beating harder.

Pushing herself up, she looked at the man's face with the small hint of hope. When she saw the small familiar smile and the faintly opened eyes, tears started falling again.

"Uncle Aussie?" She whispered.

"It's me." He whispered back.

The scream of joy was heard across the entire hospital as she threw her hands around him. He chuckled weakly as he wrapped his around her.

"You're not in heaven!" She cried.

"I couldn't just leave you now could I? I haven't taught you how to edit photos yet." He whispered. "But you're squishing me, move slightly." He added.

That was when Sam barged in. When he saw his best friend's arms around his daughter, he rushed towards them both, throwing himself into the hug. "You came back!" He cried.

"You thought getting rid of me would be easy?" Austin laughed.

"It worked. You're back. Thank god. You're alive." Was repeated over and over.

It had been confirmed that the deffibrilation shot had very little to do with the man coming back to life. It didn't work like they thought it would. It was too hard for the injecetion to find it's way to find it's way to the heart, and yet, as the little girl hugged him close, it did.

And so the love of family was forever remembered by them to have saved a life so dear and so precious.

And so the mother didn't lose her son, and the editor didn't lose his brother. The five year old didn't lose her uncle and was taught by the best photographer she ever knew.

And so the doctors racked their brains to figure out how it all happened.

And so all the couples on weddings, and all the children on birthday parties had their photos taken by Austin Donheim and not anybody else.

Because the brother and the little girl refused to leave a dead man's side.
