it was early in the morning, i heard my alarm go off at 7 in the morning. our appointment to get the covid vaccine was at 8:30 in the morning. it was the only time we could get it unless we wanted to wait 2 weeks.

*RINGGGG*

i turned around and pressed the stop button on my phone. dua didn't wake up from the alarm but i did. she always sets alarms then wakes up everyone but herself with it.

"dua, wake up." i whisper in here ear. i tapped her on the shoulder too.
"oh hi" dua said right before she yawned.

we got up and got dressed and ready to go get the vaccine. it was at the mall for some reason but the closest mall was 25 minutes away. we had a little time to go get a cup of coffee before we actually got the vaccine. it was our first dose so we were kind of nervous. i called my mom to see how the vaccine felt when she got it. she said it wasn't even bad but the vaccine might be different depending on your age. i hung up the phone and unlocked the door. i twisted the knob and let dua out first. we got in the car and turned the radio on. there was some stupid song playing, we didn't know what it was until this happened.

"hey guys, it's ryan seacrest and you are listening americas top 40! next up, levitating by dua lipa!"

"ahhh woohoo!" dua said.
"good job" i smiled.
dua giggled.
"so do you you want do go get coffee or should we go after?" i asked dua.
"umm let's go now but we only have 30 minutes before we need to get there." dua said.
"it's fine we can make it." i told her.

we drove up to the starbucks and ordered our drinks. dua wanted a caramel macchiato with extra caramel sauce and i wanted a vanilla bean iced coffee. they gave us drinks five minutes later and then we drove off to the mall. the mall was 15 minutes away from starbucks. i drove and dua just sat in the passengers seat next to me trying to show me random videos. i couldn't watch the, because i was driving.

"can i play music from my phone?" dua asked.
"yeah let me turn in bluetooth." i said.
"okay should we play ariana grande or taylor swift?" dua questioned.
"ariana grande i hate taylor swift!" i told dua.
"okay i am gonna play 'in my head' unless you want something else." dua told me.
"in my head is fine" i said.

we were driving for about 10 minutes and we just basically listened to ariana grande and drank coffee. i was really nervous to get the vaccine because i hate needles, dua didn't really express any emotions before the vaccine.

"do you know i love ariana grande?" dua asked me.
"no dua. i didn't know." i said sarcastically.

dua is obsessed with her. she did almost release a song with her once but they didn't have any extra time on their hands. she was devastated when she found out her tour was going on the on,y time ariana was free. dua also loves watching victorious. she knows it's for kids and she knows she to old for it but she doesn't give a fuck. like her song IDGAF.

"i'm so nervous duaaaaa" i whined to dua.
"eh, i am not that nervous, i'm more excited because then we can't get covid, woop woop!" dua said as she raised her hands up and down.

i could tell she was a little nervous, she kind of sounded like she was lying when she said she was kind of excited. she looked so cute just sitting in the car looking at me.

5 minutes later we arrived at the mall. there were different stalls were we got our vaccine. first we need to check in the get our cards and wrist bands so that they know we can take the vaccine. we stood in like for a few seconds and then a nice old later told us to go to stall 5.

"number five? that's what i am about to do in my pants." dua giggled.
"HAHHAHAH DUA!" i laughed.

she kept making jokes like that before we actually got the vaccine. we sat down at 2 different desks and 2 different ladies came and gave them to us.

"yn! i am getting like right now it's literally inside of me." dua said. "that's what she said".

the doctor took out the vaccine and put a band aid with hearts on it on her arm.

"okay my turn. ahh" i said nervously.

the doctor stuck it in my arm and pulled it out right away. it didn't even hurt that bad to be honest. i couldn't really feel it.

after that we drove home and we felt really tired. we both had head aches and dua felt like she had a fever.
