KABANATA 17: Kung Alam Mo Lang

HEESEUNG'S POV

"Para sayo to Mama" sinserong sabi ko sa picture ni Mama na asa study table ko. Isinabit kona sa likod ko ang gitarang nasa loob ng lalagyan at inayos ng kaunti ang buhok sa salamin bago tuluyang lumabas ng kwarto. 5:30 in the morning, maaga palang talaga dapat andun nako dahil siguradong mahaba ang pila. Wala si papa dahil nasa business meeting sya, diko na rin kailangang magpaalam kase di naman nya alam.

"Number 0111! Com on in!" tawag sa akin ng staff, yun na ang signal ko para pumasok sa room. Sa room kung nasaan ang mga judges para sa audition ngayong araw, nasa ShowBT company ako ngayon at yes, I'm auditioning again and made up my mind to continue my dream.

"Heeseungshi?!" gulat na sabi ni Mr. Charles Kim, ang CEO ng company. I didn't know na andito sya, well it's a big audition after all.

I'm now standing in front of five judges or mentors. There are two men na kakilala ko nadin dati pa, they are the choreographers who specializes dancing. Two women, diko kilala yung isa pero I know they are music teachers who focuses on singing or rapping and of course nasa gitna si CEO Kim. Nasa mahaba silang mesa, may mga camera sa likod nila para kuhanan ang audition ng mga aspiring trainees and may dalawang TV naman sa likod ko para mapanood nila ako sa monitor, may lapel din ako para marinig doon.

"Olaenman-iya President Kim. Good afternoon  seonsaengnim" I bowed my head as a sign of respect to them

"Aish come on my ace, you know you don't need to be that formal" nakangiti nyang sabi sa akin.

Ace... it's been a long time since I was called by that

When I was a trainee, I always rank first. I never experienced being on the second place, I was always on the top that's why this company calls me their Ace. They were so sad when I decided to stop this dream of being an idol, pinipilit pa nila ako nun dahil malaki daw akong kawalan para sa company but at the end they respected my decision.

But here am I... auditioning to the same company I left

"Wow you're English improved so much President" pag pupuri ko kay CEO Kim

"Oh don't mention it I already know that" at saka sya natawa, ganoon din ako

"Buti naman naisipan mong bumalik Heeseung, hanggang ngayon we can't find someone like you" sabi naman ng isa sa mga music teachers

"Same in our case, wala paring nakakatalo sa mga galaw mo" sabi naman ng isa sa mga dance mentors

"Of course, I'm your Ace you know" pagmamayabang ko at sabay sabay kaming natawang lahat

"What are you even doing here? You should go to the training room and start practicing with the others, there are a lot of new trainees by the way" sabi ni CEO

"Don't flatter me like that President" natatawang sabi ko naman

"But it's true tho, you should've contacted us nalang, we'll accept you right away" sabi naman ng music teacher

"Matagal tagal na po akong di nakakapag perform eh. I want to hear your comments and opinions parin po syempre" nakangiti kong sabi

"You're such a humble kid Heeseung" nakangiti ring pagpupuri sa akin ni CEO "Okay let's start"

Hawak ang gitara, nakatayo ay nag simula akong tumugtog at kumanta.

"I prepared Butterfly by BTS, acoustic version" I said before letting my hands do their job in music
