Violet's Pov:

Buzz buzz...buzz buzz...buzz buzz.

I groaned as my alarm went off. It was Saturday so I guess I had mistakenly set an alarm out of habit. It didn't help that I had a massive headache. Stupid Louis making me drink.

Buzz buzz...buzz buzz...buzz buzz.

I reached over without looking up and slammed my hand down on the snooze button, but the buzzing didn't stop. I groaned again and made a fist with my hand slamming it down on the alarm clock harder.

Buzz buzz...buzz buzz...buzz buzz.

I traced my hand over the alarm clock until I found the cord in the back. Then I gripped the cord and pulled as hard as I could until the plug came loose from the socket.

I gave an exhausted sigh and flopped back down on my pillow.

Buzz buzz...buzz buzz...buzz buzz.

I pushed myself up bewildered, squinting as sunlight streamed in through the window. "What the hell?! I just unplugged it."

That's when I felt something vibrate against me. I looked down and saw my phone face down on my bed.

"Well, that explains the buzzing."

I gave a sigh as I laid back down. I didn't even check to see who was calling as I brought the phone to my ear and pressed the little green icon to answer the call.

My voice came out hoarse as I spoke. "He-hello..."

I winced as the words left my mouth. My headache made me regret answering the phone as a sharp, throbbing, pain shot through my forehead. I squeezed my eyes shut and tried to listen to who was speaking, really just wanting to go back to sleep.

"Violet?"

"Clem?!" I shot up in bed, my eyes nearly popping out of my head. Not who I expected to be on the other end of the phone. What with our relationship being so touch and go at the moment. Lately, I've been in the doghouse after forgetting our one-year anniversary plans. I accidentally stood Clem up at a fancy restaurant to go drinking with Louis at some major party he had known about. Clem didn't speak to me for a few days after that. Now weeks later I'm still trying to make up for that.

"Were you asleep?" She asked me.

"Yeah," I replied. "Why are you calling so early in the morning?"

"It's three in the afternoon." She told me.

I looked at my alarm clock that was now unplugged, then to the watch around my wrist. "Oh." I felt blood rush to my cheeks as I blushed in embarrassment.

"Anyway, I'm coming over," Clem said matter of factly.

"What?!" I asked surprised, not believing what I was hearing.

Clem only hummed in response as she busied herself with something. She said, "I know that when you called me, you were drinking. But I loved every single word you left on my phone. And I know you're hungover, but I'm coming on over"

My mouth hung open slightly. Was she serious? I wanted to say something but I didn't have the words. Any words that I said came out as sort of a broken record.

"Okay, I'll see you in a half-hour," Clem said.

"Wait, Clem!" But it was too late. She had already hung up and I was stuck baffled.

She had mentioned me leaving her a message last night, but there wasn't one that I could recall. She was in way too good a mood though for me to have just left her an ordinary message.
