"Whoooooo, another round!" Louis shouted then leaned back in his chair, clearly drunk. He put his feet up on the table then leaned his chair back.

"Come on Louis, we've already had three rounds. And that's just from when I got here. You've been drinking since three." Violet warned her best friend.

"Come on Vi. Loosen up a bit. Can't a guy celebrate his best friend's promotion?" Louis said setting his chair back on all four legs and setting his feet back on the floor.

"Yeah, I guess you're right," Violet said twiddling a beer bottle cap in her fingers as she stared at the marked-up bar table.

"What's wrong Vi?" Louis said taking another swig of his beer finishing it off.

"It's nothing," Violet said defeated.

"Come on..." Louis encouraged. "You can't tell me after winning such a big promotion you're gonna mope around like you're puppy just died."

"It's not that. I'm happy about getting the promotion, but..."

"But..." Louis asked.

"But... I'm used to celebrating with her." Violet explained.

"Still torn up about Minnie huh?" Louis asked taking another drink from a new shot that had been brought to him.

"It's not like I want to be. But we used to come here every Friday after work." Violet said placing the bottle cap back down.

"You need to forget Minerva. Have another shot, Vi. It'll make you feel better. Just look at me! I feel great!"

Violet shot him a look. "Yeah, you're also drunk."

"Drunk Louis is the best Louis." He said back, placing his feet back up on the table.

That got a slight laugh out of Violet. "Yeah right. You're a pain in the a..." She trailed off staring at something.

"I'm a pain in the what?" Louis laughed.

"What?" Violet asked. "Come again?"

"You said I'm a pain in the... when I'm drunk," Louis repeated.

"Oh yeah. Mhm." Violet trailed off looking past Louis instead of at him.

"What are you looking at?" Louis asked trying to peer behind him. He followed Violet's gaze and stopped once it landed on brown hair and golden eyes. "Ohhhhh, I see you." He gave Violet a playful nudge.

"What are you talking about?" Violet said finally paying attention to him.

Louis smirked. "You like her, don't you?" He whispered seductively.

Violet blushed slightly. "I...do not." She took a sip of her almost empty beer to hide her embarrassment.

The smirk didn't leave his face though as he leaned in. "I don't blame you. She's hot."

Violet almost spit out her drink. "Louis!? What the fuck?"

"What?! She is." He fought back. Glancing over his shoulder he saw the girl sitting at a table alone. "You should go and talk to her," Louis said excitedly.

"What!" Violet said exasperated. "I've never even seen her here before. I'm not gonna go over and talk to her."

"You should buy her a drink," Louis said. "Here, grab her a beer." Louis pulled a ten out of his wallet and pushed it across the table towards the blonde.

A blush overtook Violet's face. "Louis I can't do this. I don't even know if she likes beer. She looks like she's drinking wine."

"Then go ask Marlon. The bartender always knows everyone in the bar. I'm sure he knows her drink." Louis said finishing off his shot in one last big gulp. "Look, you're out anyway. Perfect timing. Go order a couple of drinks and talk to her. Looks like she's alone tonight."
