characters who deserved better

CHARACTERS WHO DESERVED BETTER/REDEMPTION ARCS/ I SIMPLY ✨ADORE✨

i should have named this marvel edition lol

1. NATASHA ROMANOFF (MCU)

if you ask me she's the strongest avenger in terms of what she's gone through and the fact that she was able to turn her life around. she has one of the best arcs in the mcu and i hope we see more of natasha pre-S.H.I.E.L.D in black widow. she got her new start, lost everyone but still got up and lead the avengers because ironically she was the only one who had the balls to, and then died. for a paperweight. if that's not the definition of deserved better idk what is.

2. TONY STARK (MCU)

he deserved to retire with pepper and morgan and just be like an avengers adviser/work higher up like a leader who doesn't do the fighting and just designs suits, technology, etc. his ending was so good for his arc because it showed he wasn't selfish anymore but when you look beyond that, he deserved so much better. he was also one of the only avengers who ever paid for his mistakes and admitted to them, but was the one who got the most shit for them. his mistakes weren't even the worst ( looking at you wanda, steve, etc... )

also died for a paperweight ☝️

3. PIETRO MAXIMOFF (MCU)

he was sidelined to just a plot point for wanda's character development. there's literally no other reason he was killed off. he could have been a comic relief character like scott, whilst also being a badass hero, but no he "had" to die.

4. HELA ODINSDOTTIR (MCU)

she's alive. idc what y'all say she's alive. i trust taika. goddess of death doesn't just die, not like that. i need the best mcu villain back. also if you look at the clip it didn't even hit where she was stood.

5. VISION (MCU)

like pietro, they limited him to being there primarily for the benefit of wanda's character rather than being his own character. he should have been one of the most powerful avengers since he literally had an infinity stone in his head + plus the brains of the 2 smartest avengers, don't fight me on this but there's no way wanda should've been able to overpower him in civil war even though she's undoubtedly one of the strongest. im not too mad about his iw death because it lead to wandavision but i wish they focused a bit more on him as a character by himself, especially in a show called wandaVISION where it should have been equally as much about him as it should wanda.

6. RAPUNZEL

my guy eugene didn't need to cut her hair that short, that was uncalled for homie ✋ leave a little length

this genuinely has kept me up every night since 2013.

7. AVA STARR / GHOST (MCU)

she was so misunderstood. all she wanted was to live normally. stan king scott for trying to help her, i hope she's in quantumania but i highly doubt it because unless she blipped she would have died within weeks :(

8. TADASHI HAMADA (BIG HERO 6)

he was so fucking precious i love him. he didn't deserve to die to save that asshat.

9. LOKI LAUFEYSON (MCU)

he honestly has one of the saddest, if not THE saddest, lives in the whole mcu. he was lied to about who he really was, not out of protection but because odin was definitely ashamed of it, he spent so long trying to impress a man who couldn't care less about him that he didn't realise how much his own brother and mum truly adored him, he was mind controlled and tortured by thanos into taking over new york and no one ever cared to help him they just punished him, he was so caught up in the realisation that odin would never love him like he did thor that he doubted his own mothers love for him, then the only person other than thor who loved him died, they didn't even let him go to her funeral, his home got destroyed and when he finally got the chance to prove himself he was killed. and now he's back to 2012 loki with no idea that asgard is no longer a planet and his mum is dead. he also probably thinks thor is dead as well because his file stopped just before the ship below up so he'll have no idea who survived. he also probably assumes that sif, heimdell, etc are dead too.

10. TINKERBELL

peter did my girl dirty. a true icon who didn't deserve to be treated like crap ✋

11. BOLT

😭😭😭😭😭😭 this is one of the best disney movies but i can't watch it anymore because it's too fucking sad. i don't wanna talk about it anymore let's move on.

12. MARLEY (&ME)

marley&me is the devil's masterpiece. there is no other way to describe it. 100/10 movie but SAD. SO SAD. my buddy marley only heard he was a good boy on his death bed ✋😭 owen wilson did him dirty w that one

13. THOR ODINSON (MCU)

they treated his depression in endgame as a punchline. i also find it very hard to believe that none of the avengers (especially bruce or nat or maybe tony) didn't check up on him before the time heist. he literally had an eating disorder from trying to cancel his depression out by eating.

he thought loki had died multiple times and when he finally got him back, he felt like he kept getting betrayed by him. his mum died, his dad died, he lost his home, heimdell, mjolnir. his mental health better have the same treatment as loki, bucky, and wandas are getting in their shows.

14. CAROL DANVERS (MCU)

aside from people acting like she and her movie as shit when they most certainly are not, and bullying brie larson for existing + saying things other cast members are praised for, she went through more than touched upon. she lost her entire memory about her life; family, friends, maria, monica, etc ..., and then when she was "taken in", those people who she trusted turned out to be the bad guys who caused her to lose her memory.

15. HANNA MARIN (PLL)

alison made fun of her weight which gave her bulimia, she was stalked, cyber bullied, kidnapped x2, tortured, and treated by shit by every guy in her life at least once (yes, including caleb) , her dad didn't appreciate her and acted as if kate and her mum was his real family and just abandoned her, she suffered from PTSD (as did the other girls) and aria (+ some of the other girls) blamed her for things that weren't her fault. the one that makes me so angry is aria blaming her for ella's MUCH OLDER boyfriend making a move on her but okay ur into pedos so everyone else has to be xoxo

16. JUSTIN FOLEY (13RW)

he was an awful person in the past for not telling jessica, but i think some people let that cloud their vision. he thought he was protecting jessica by hiding it from her, which he wasn't and he knows that, for the remainder of the show he deals with the consequences of that and not once does he act like he was right, he owns up for it and makes it his mission to help jessica whilst also giving her any space she requests. he was treated like shit and raped by his mother's boyfriends when he was FIVE. and when he finally turned his life around, his past caught up with him and effectively killed him. he deserved to have a shot at a semi-normal life.

17. EMILY FIELDS (PLL)

she genuinely had one of the best coming out journeys in any tv shows i've watched. she didn't deserve to be toyed about by alison and feel like their was something wrong with her simply because she likes girls. not to mention she was also kidnapped, stalked and cyber bullied. she was the sweetest of them all and still had one of the worst treatments.

18. BOB NEWBY (STRANGER THINGS)

he was so wholesome and precious and i just wanted to wrap him in bubble wrap and protect him from everything. he died for a family that wasn't his own biologically but he still treated like it was. he could have easily left when things started getting difficult with will but he stayed and attempted to relieve all the pressure on joyce.

19. ALEXEI (STRANGER THINGS)

like bob, i wanted to protect him from the evil world. he was so precious. he just wanted his damn cherry slurpee ✋

20. OCTAVIA BLAKE (THE 100)

she just needed people to believe in her a little more and help her. that's it.
