characters who didnt deserve redemption arcs

CHARACTERS WHO DIDNT DESERVE REDEMPTION ARCS/BETTER/I SIMPLY ✨HATE✨

1. SEVERUS SNAPE (HARRY POTTER)

he literally only helped harry because of his creepy ass obsession with lily. i know full well if lily had of had a daughter instead of a son, y'all would be calling him a pedo or creepy so let's not act like he's some saint. his "redemption" was for all the wrong reasons, he was just a fucking stalker.

also, neville aint do nothing to him and he treated him like dirt ✋

2. TERESA AGNES (THE MAZE RUNNER)

"but she saved thomas🥺" yes, from the danger SHE put him in. i don't feel like this really needs any more elaboration.

3. HOWARD STARK (MCU)

i loved howard in the first avenger but after that he's just not a good guy, or father. he treated tony awfully and left him with life-long trauma yet people continue to act as tho he's so amazing.

4. ALBUS DUMBLEDORE (HARRY POTTER)

he was one weird motherfucker and he literally put harry in danger more times than i could count. i wasn't sad when sn*pe said ciao to him and his long ass beard.

5. WANDA MAXIMOFF (MCU)
okay so putting aside the very obvious whitewashing of the character, mcu wanda, whilst i like scarlet witch, i really don't like wanda (if that makes sense?) . they never held her accountable for ultron/sokovia, instead allowing tony to take all the blame even though she was the one who put the idea in his head. like he literally wouldn't have done it if it hadn't been for her. i like that she's an avenger now, i just think she should have had some consequences for being apart of a nazi organisation, regardless of whether they told her and pietro they had different intentions to what they really meant they still knew the risk and what they were signing themselves up for. this would also apply to pietro if he wasn't 💀 shes the only avenger who hasn't had to pay for her mistakes, besides not signing the accords but that's steve's fault.

lowkey wandavision wanda as well. i loved scarlet witch but her refusing to tell vision anything about his past life (eg. avengers, tony, jarvis) wasnt it. also them poor people in westview ✋

6. KYLO REN (STAR WARS)

someone had to say it 🤷🏼‍♀️ i haven't seen the movies with him in (i'm only on episode 2 so pls no spoilers) but from what i've heard he's a shitty guy who people only like bc they like adam driver / his relationship with rey

7. JIM PRESTON (PASSENGERS)

i've seen so much debate over this and ive come to the conclusion that i hate him and aurora deserved better. he killed her, took away her life, her dreams, everything. all because he was lonely. i don't even care about his reasonings.

8. T-BAG (PRISON BREAK)

murdered and raped kids, sometimes AFTER he had already killed them. if u like him then get help because your sick af. he was a good villain but that's where there "liking him" should end. if u have any sympathy for him, fuck you ✨

9. STEVE ROGERS (MCU)

this ones a little different bc he technically never had a redemption arc since fans and the mcu / it's characters in general treated him like a perfect saint when he clearly was not.

for starters, he lied to tony about how his parents even though he, as tony's friend, would have known how that literally helped shape tony later on in life and left him with trauma. and if one more person uses the "he was protecting bucky" argument im gonna throttle them because he wasn't. he literally said to tony, after he asked him if he knew, "i didn't know it was him".

he put so many people in danger with the sokovia accords and for what? specifically wanda. she would have been safer, and have been allowed to have the life she wanted with vision, if she had signed the accords. but instead, steve convinced her tony was trying to get her arrested and deported so she fought with him. and what happened next? she was arrested, put in a straight jacket away from her friends, and then had to go on the run. the accords literally didn't even do anything so he might as well have just signed them 🤡

he was also a judgmental hypocrite. he always criticised tony for having a huge ego, which is true, but in reality his was just as bad, he was just better at hiding it. he thought he knew best which lead to his teammates arrest (see above^), and his ego wasted time in avengers1 by picking apart pretty much everything about tony's life, without knowing him well at this point so it was all just assumptions. stan queen nat for rolling her eyes at that bitch. he was also quick to judge natasha and fury in TWS. as a ww2 fighter, shouldn't he know more about what really makes someone a bad person? (bucky can do it so why can't he?)

he blatantly ignored tony's warnings about how them splitting up would cause them to lose, just how he had said in age of ultron, which lead to the fall out in civil war and the avengers falling apart. next avengers movie, they lose. i might let that one slide (only the losing in iw tho) bc it had to happen for them to win in endgame.

and the biggest betrayal of all time, he didn't sign coulson's cards 🤧 dhmu 💔

10. ODIN (MCU)

like steve, he never really got a redemption arc bc it never really showed loads about him ig?

this is an understatement but he was a shitty dad to loki, hela and even thor. he robbed us of an iconic trio and i just can't forgive him for that.

i'll probably keep adding to this later on lol
