Maya Carter

22:26 pm

"Oh wow, well this is unexpected isn't it, Princess" I said as I turned around. This was a nice surprise I must say. ", Hello Kaylah."

She sat, eyes dancing over my body as if she was trying to decipher if I was really here or if her mind was playing tricks on her. The joint hung loosely from her lips, the end lighting every time she breathed out, the hand that was once holding it had dropped down to her lap.

She looked hotter than I remembered, especially with the black dress she wore showing of her figure, but also her face. She had minimal make up on, yet still looked pretty. Hm yes. Tonight did just get a whole lot more interesting.

"Hello Maya." She replied, her voice soft but I didn't miss the hint of irritation in it. I guess she hadn't got over our last encounter. The way she held eye contact with me as she held the joint once again and took a long draw confirming her opinion of me, but that was fine. I enjoyed a challenge.

"You could pretend to be a little more excited to see me you know." I said, knowing it would piss her off, as I walked round the seats and sat on the back of her chair, leaving the girl I was previously with to show herself out.

"And why would I do that?" Kaylah replied. I wasn't sure if it was the drugs, or if she'd gained confidence since we last saw eachother - but I liked her newfound fiesty attitude.

Leaning down and placing my empty glass down on the table infront of her, I stopped at her ear, whispering lowly, "Because San, we aren't going to pretend I haven't been on your mind everyday since we last saw eachother - are we?"

Being that close to her, I felt her breath hitch against my cheek, causing a smirk to appear on my face as I lifted myself back up to sit straight. "You-you haven't." Kaylah stuttered out.

"Mhm, whatever you have to tell yourself princess." I laughed out, reaching for her hand, "Come with me, I wanna ask you something."

Before she had a chance to object, I grabbed the joint from her mouth and placed it in my own, and pulled her off the chair, through the swarms of sweaty people and towards a door leading to an empty room. "After you." I said, gesturing towards the open door.

I followed Kaylah after she walked in the door, turning round to shut the door, leaving my arm by the side of her head for a bit longer than necessary as I kept my eyes locked on hers. She really is quite pretty. Shaking my head to rid the thoughts that were creeping into it, I pushed away from her and made my way to go sit down, discarding the dead joint I took from Kaylah's mouth earlier. I felt Kaylah watching me intently as I walked over to the sofa on the far wall of the room, "Are you going to come sit down? You standing by the door like that makes me feel like you're going to run away or something." I called over my shoulder.

"Oh erm, y-yeah" She replied, as if she was scared of me. She sat down on the opposite side of the sofa to me, her head looking down at her hands in her lap, so I made the executive decision and moved up next to her, gently grabbing her chin in my hands and lifting her head up to face me.

"Do I scare you, San?" I asked, even though I could already guess the answer.

"Y-yes." Kaylah stuttered out again, I was slightly shocked by her honesty, but didn't let it show.

"Good." I said simply, releasing her chin and dropping my hand to rest on the back of the sofa behind her.

"So what did you have to ask me?" She questioned, nerves lacing her voice so evidently, I knew she would be scared of me, but I wondered how badly our last encounter had actually affected her.

"Do you want to work for me?" I asked, casually.

"What?" Kaylah answered, her voice holding the same level of shock as I'd expect from a parent told that their son was pregnant.

"Well you're unemployed right now aren't you? So do you want a job?"

"Yeah..but how did you know I didn't have a job?" Kaylah asked in curiosity.

"The same way I know you sent an application for a job 2 weeks ago, it's my company." I stated, turning to look Kaylah directly in the eyes and moving my head within an inch from hers before continuing, "and I must say, you are perfect for the job." I finished, my breath fanning against her neck.

"T-thankyou?" Kaylah swallowed heavily, gasping as I grabbed her hips and pulled her onto my lap, never breaking our eye contact.

In instinct, her hands flew to my shoulders, and I took this opportunity to plant soft kisses along her left arm, biting down gently as I reached her shoulder, leaving a mark, recieving halted gasps from Kaylah.

"So, are you going to take the job then?" I asked, moving my lips up to her neck and continuing my actions as I moved up the curve of her neck. But when Kaylah didn't reply I pulled my lips away from her neck and substituted my hand for my lips, pulling her closer to my face if that was even possible. "Are you going to take the job?" I asked again, giving her neck a squeeze to encourage an answer.

"Yes," Kaylah breathed out, "Yes I will be taking the job."

Releasing my hand from her neck, I pulled back and sat up, letting Kaylah regain her breath and slide off my lap, moving to sit back at the other end of the sofa.

"Good, I'm glad. You'll get a call from the manager tomorrow to finalize all the details officially, but that's just protocol." I said to Kaylah as I lit another joint and brought it to my lips.

Kaylah opened her mouth to reply to me as the door opened, interrupting her and revealing Coby and another man who looked vaguely familiar.

"Sorry to interrupt but Malin is here, and he wants to speak to you." Coby spoke out, not sounding very sorry at all. Infact I'm pretty sure I saw a smile pulling at his lips.

"Alright, I'm coming." I replied, getting up slowly and turning around to face Kaylah.

Leaning down to become level with her face, I took the fresh joint out of my mouth and placed it into hers, from which she immediately took a drag, and blew the smoke into my face, causing a low chuckle escape my throat. "Careful, San." I warned, before standing up and walking over to the door.

Just as I was about to leave I turned around once more, taking off my hoodie and throwing it in Kaylah's direction. "You might need this." I said, laughing to myself as I closed the door, hearing the gasp that came from Kaylah as she realized the markings I'd left on her body, and why I suggested she would need my hoodie.

As I made my way towards the room where I'd be meeting Malin, I smirked to myself.

I was right, tonight did get a whole lot more interesting.
