First Move

Chloe Pov
All I could see was darkness but then I felt something soft touch my face. I slowly opened my eyes and saw Eevee staring at me worrily. I was confused but I got up from the ground and looked around. I was outside the Slumbering Weald!? I looked around for the others but only found Serena who was also passed out on the ground. Eevee and I made our way over to her and I slightly nudged her, hoping she would wake up. Her eyes fluttered open and she looked around confused by her surroundings. I proceeded to help her up and then she looked at me asked,"Chloe, where are we? and where are Ash, Pikachu and Goh?"."We are outside the Slumbering Weald but I don't know where the others are." I replied."What if they are lost inside" She said full of worry, looking at the Slumbering Weald which enterence was being covered by thick snow white fog. "We have to go find them." She said while walking towards the foggy enternce. She was about to walk into it but I quickly grabbed her hand and said,"No"."No!? Aren't you worried about them. They could be lost or worse, hurt." She said."I understand your scared, but remember what Sonia told us. So far anyone who has been inside the Slumbering Weald suddenly appeared outside with no memory of what happened inside." I said trying to reason with her."That's exactly what happened to us." Serena thought out loud."Wait, but then why are Goh and Ash not here?" She asked."I don't know. But I think Sonia was right. The fog probably had something to do with Zacian and Zamazenta and I guess they only wanted Goh and Ash inside" I replied. "I guess that makes sense." Serena said calming down."So what do we do till they get back?" She asked me."What do you mean?" I replied."Well, they are a obviously they are gonna take a while in there. So what do you want to do till then." She said while sitting down and staring at the fog."Oh, I don't really know. We can do anything you want I guess." I said while sitting down next to her."I kinda want to get to know you more, so why don't we just bond and past the time till they get back?" She said while smiling at me."Su...sure, I guess." I replied. Eevee jumped onto my lap. Serena then said,"Ok so you can ask me a question first then after I reply, I ask you a question. How about that?"."Sure, so....why did you decide to travel to the Hoenn Region as a pokemon performancer instead of trying again for the title of Kalos Queen?"."Oh, that's because I realized my real dream was to put a smile on people and pokemon. I mean don't get me wrong, it was fun performing for a chance to be Kalos Queen but I feel much happier performing the way I am now" She said."WOW, that's such a great dream. Your such a sweet person." I complimented her."Thanks, so now my turn. What's your dream?" She asked me. I bite my lip, I hoping she wouldn't ask me that question. Serena noticed my hesitation and asked,"Is something wrong?"."No, it's just that I don't really have a dream or a goal. I am having a hard time deciding. Everyone expects me to become a pokemon Professer since my dad is one but I'm not really sure I want." I said while looking down.

Serena Pov
When see said that I realized, she was just like how I used to be. She is also having trouble finding her goal and is being pressured by her parents. I wanted to give her confidence so I said,"Oh, sorry. I didn't know it was sensative topic. But I am sure you will find your goal sooner or later."."Thanks" She said. Then we continued talking about our lives. But soon an topic came up. "So Serena, you like Ash? don't you." I was shocked by the sudden question and immediately started blushing. Chloe sense my nervousness and said,"Don't worry, you can trust me. I will keel it between us."."Ya, I like Ash. How do you know?" I replied."Well it's kinda obvious."She said with a sweat drop."But do you know that Goh likes you?" She asked me."Ya, I noticed. He is really nice and a good friend but I don't really feel the same way. I actually wanted to confess my feelings to Ash but I don't want to hurt Goh's feelings either. It would probably ruin him and Ash's friendship." I said. Chloe bite her lip."What's wrong." I asked her confused."Well....Goh and Ash have been arguing over you."."Arguing over me?", I said."Ya, on the plane, when you fell asleep. Ash was bragging to Goh about the time you kissed him and then Goh told him about him and you accidentally kissing. And now they practically hate each other." Chloe said. I was shocked, everything made sense now. The fighting for attention and glares they were giving each other were all over me. I grouned,"Damn it, I never wanted them to fight over me. I basically ruined their friendship." I said regretting ever coming to meet Ash. Chloe kept her hand on my shoulder and said,"Hey, it's not your fault. Ash and Goh are the ones at fault. They were the ones arguing over you. But don't worry, they both aren't the type of people to hold a grudge, they will make up in no time."."Thanks Chloe. I hope your right."I said. Then I had an idea, I smirked and looked at Chloe and said,"Hey Chloe, it's my turn to ask you a question. Who do you like?". She immediately turned red."Comm'n, I told you that I liked Ash, it's only fair of I know who you like."I said while smirking. She sighed and said,"Fine, I like Goh. But I don't think he likes me back though. He barely even notices me anymore" She said with a sad face."I'm sorry Chloe, it's my fault isn't it." I said thinking I am taking Goh's attention away from her. She immediately waved her hand in front of her and said,"What, no. He actually stopped paying attention to me since he became my dad's research assistant. He became friends with Ash and now spends most of his time with him catching pokemon. He just doesn't notice my feelings.".That's when I remembered that I used to have the same problem with Ash back when we traveled together in Kalos. I wanted him to make the first move but he was concentrated on pokemon battles and winning the league. In the end, I had to make the first move. And she is experiencing somewhat the same thing. I smiled and said,"Of course he doesn't notice your feelings, he is just like Ash, dense."."What do you mean?" She looked at me in confusion."Whether he was chasing after pokemon or even another girl, he doesn't notice notice your feelings because he is dense just like Ash. And the only way to deal with boys like that is if us girls make the first move." I said while smiling. Chloe looked at me and giggled."Ya your right. Us girls have to make the first move with guys like that." Chloe said. I laughed and said,"Great you finally understand, now all you just have to make a first move so great Goh will be the one chasing after you." I said. Chloe blushed."Thanks Serena" Chloe said."That's what are friends for." I replied. She smiled and nodded. But then suddenly a huge beam of red light shot up into the sky and disappeared. I was shocked, it looked like it came from the middle of the Slumbering Weald. I panicked,"Chloe, I think Ash and Goh are in trouble. What do we do!" I shouted. Chloe replied,"We can't do anything. The fog is still blocking the entrance. I think the only thing we can do is call for help." Chloe pulled out her phone and called officer Jenny. I just start at the fog and prayed that Ash and Goh would be walking out of there unharmed.

Finally, I finished this chapter. Sorry if it was quite boring. Trust me, I got really bored writing this chapter as well. However, I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter at least a little bit. Don't worry the next part is going to be really exciting, trust me. That is where climax is and I am hoping to put the most of the shipping moments at the end of the book but my ideas sometimes change half way through so IDK.
