I heard from people all around that I'd be fine from my injury. I didn't even know who did this and why. People these days, they're so cruel. How would I not even notice that someone was behind me, just waiting for that perfect chance to go WHAM?
Right in my head, too!
I felt like fuming, but I couldn't. My head was throbbing with pain and I didn't feel like I could do anything. So not exaggerating.
Even worse, the dance was tomorrow. Ugh... I'd completely forgotten until now. I have to pick out a dress and everything for Oliver to...
Oh.. never mind. I don't even have to go now because he decided to spontaneously go with Rose The Rat. Hehe, I like that. Rose The Rat.
_________________________Anyways, I arrived home today with a big bump on my head. My mother- well, let's say this in a nice manner- did not like it very much at all. She literally panicked when she saw me.
"Oh, Jack, Clementine! She's hurt!! Come here!!" She shouted from across the house. I heard immediate footsteps as my father scurried out to see what was so terrifying. His eyes got wide as he stared in disbelief at my bump. "W-w-what happened, dear?" He said, stuttering.
"Um, well-"
"Say it."
"I don't know exactly who did it, but-""Spit it out!"
"I was walking home and I got whacked in the head with a book!" I said frantically. "Can't you see?! I don't know who did it, so don't ask me!" I added harshly.
"Oh.. well.. alright, then." said my father worriedly. I saw him frown and start to turn around.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings or anything. I think it was that girl Rose- no, dad, not the sweet one in my kindergarten class, another one- who did it. I mean, I wouldn't suspect anyone else."
"Interesting. Why don't you tell her, 'Hey, Rosey Posey! You're so stupid with an IQ of a chicken!'" said my dad, making a somewhat-good impression of the chicken dance.
I sighed.Fathers these days.
"Totally." I rolled my eyes. "But really. My head hurts really bad."
"Come here." said my mom. "You can go lay down and get a good nap. It'll help, promise."
"Thank you, mom. I know I have to deal with a lot of drama but I hope you understand how hard it is." I replied as I got into bed.
Smiling, my mother left the room. But then my phone beeped.
