(!possible tw: violence!)

-

We had made small talk the rest of the way. Not the boring small talk, but the small talk where you can actually smile and have an opinion.

Pleasant small talk.

When we entered the school, I walked over to my locker and saw Millie and Sadie already in conversation.

"Hey guys." I said, approaching them.

They'd both turned their heads to look at me and smiled.
"Hey!" The both of them replied.

"Sorry I'm a little later than usual, Joey and I walked today."
I continued while immediately starting to spin my locker combination.

"No worries! We saw Jayde and Vinnie have already arrived."
Millie said while looking in their direction.

I looked over to Jayde's locker area and saw her and Vinnie making out. I rolled my eyes and turned back to my locker, putting a few things away.
"Do they really have to do that here? Like they don't do it enough at our house.." I mumbled.

"Like it wasn't already obvious enough that they're dating. The entire school basically knows.." Sadie added

Vada quickly walked up to us while seeing Jayde's face was then entertained. She started talking fast.
"Hey! I hope you girls have a good day. Sadie, you look great today, curling your ponytail really worked its magic. Now, I will see you all later.. regardless of if I'm with Jayde or not. Millie, your taste in jewelry never disappoints, you're an absolute vision in gold. Just know that you all look so good and I hope you have a great day. Margo, maybe try to talk to Miles today? He got switched into some of your classes thanks to all of the schedule rearranging nonsense, so it's all up to you now. I gotta run, you know how it is.
And little sis, I love you so much. Kisses!"
She blew a kiss and walked away as quickly as she walked up. I watched her as she went over to Jayde and Vinnie. The two girls hugged tightly and immediately dove into conversation.

"Your sister is so nice. I don't know why she hangs out with my sister. My sister is the fricking worst."
I exclaimed.

We'd heard a locker slam and it steered all three of our heads in the direction of the noise. I looked around and found the root of the ruckus. Miles making out with some girl I'd never seen before. I watched them in subtle disappointment. It carried out for a few seconds longer and just as I was about to look away, they stopped. They talked a little. He then slapped her and walked away. I turned back around to Sadie and Millie, seeing the cringed look on each of their faces.

"I cannot believe you have a crush on him. He lashes out for no absolute reason.." Millie said, trying to be somewhat sensitive of my feelings.

"You don't find that attractive?" I joked, sounding puzzled but was damn well knowing of the answer.

They both shook their heads and with that, the bell rang.

Millie continued. "You may find that attractive from a distance, but imagine being in the position of his victims. No thank you."

We all went our separate ways and I started walking to my first period, English.
Once I got there I took my seat at the back of the class and waited for the lesson to begin.
