The final bell dismissing my last class finally went off. Miles came up behind me and bumped into my shoulder. When I saw it'd been him I just kept walking. He walked with me, side by side.

"Yes?"

"We have to hurry out of here or else Olive will see."

"Shit.. just give me a minute." I replied, picking up my pace. I honestly had forgotten about going to his house. If he wouldn't have caught up with me, I probably would've went straight home. I quickly spun my combination and opened my locker. Millie and Sadie walked up to me, both of them smiling. I didn't want them to get ahead of themselves so I quickly informed them,
"Hey guys! Sorry I gotta hurry out of here. I'm going to Miles' place, but uhm-" I took a quick second to stop grabbing my stuff and looked at them, to emphasize what I was going to say.
"Olive can't know."

"Okay." Millie started, and I continued shoving things in my bag. "Sneaky. I like it for you. Don't worry, she won't know. Right, Sades?" She looked over at Sadie for confirmation.

"Right. Lips sealed."

"Thank you guys." I said while slamming my locker shut and zipping my bag.

"Just be careful.." Sadie added.

"I will. Alright, love you guys. See you tomorrow."
I turned around and saw Miles behind me.

"Ready?" He asked.
I nodded firmly in response and we both ran out of the building. Even though we'd both known we could've slowed down to a walking pace, we hadn't. We just ran all the way, chuckling every now and then. We hadn't stopped until we came to an old, iron gate.

"Holy.." I mumbled while the gates slowly began opening.

"What?"

"This is your house?"

We both walked through the iron gates and started our way down the path.

He hadn't acknowledged my question until about halfway down the path. All there was to fill the silence was the sound of us both trying to catch our breath.
"Yeah, what else would it be?" He asked, eyebrows crinkled, but a joking element in his tone.

"Oh, I don't know. A hotel?"
I'd exaggerated for the fun of it.

"On private grounds? Yeah, okay."
He'd laughed a little to himself before having gone ahead of me.

"Wait up!" I'd shouted while jogging over to his side.

We'd finally made it up to the tall doors when a young girl opened them to greet us. She had a big smile plastered on her face, revealing her growing front tooth. She opened them wider, allowing us to enter and slammed them shut behind us.
"Miles, Miles, Miles!" The little brunette girl exclaimed while dancing around the two of us.

"Hey, Flora." Miles had said warmly, smiling down at her.

A tall, blonde, woman came out from a long hallway, raising her eyebrows once she saw me.
"Hey, Miles. How was school?" She asked cautiously.
