Phoenix Fire (Doctor who fic)

(The 11th Hour) Basically ... Run

The Doctor, Amy, Rory and I all reach the roof eventually with the Doctor fully changed... well he has clothes on now, but he hasn't picked a tie and I am currently holding some blazers he couldn't decide between. As we reach outside, the Atraxi ship is staring at us with its giant eye. Amy and Rory stop by the door, while I take a few steps closer but stay back as the Doctor goes right up to the ship.

"Hey Mad man! Why did you bring them back? They were leaving" I say using his nickname as to get his attention.

"Because Birdy, leaving is good, never coming back is better" he quickly turns around to me showing a smile before facing the ship again. "Come on, then! The Doctor will see you now!" As he finished the giant eye from the ship comes closer shrinking us to ants from its size. The eye scans the Doctor with its light, but the Doctor doesn't seem bothered by it, he simply starts to put on his suspenders on.

"You are not from this world." The Atraxi announces after finishes its scan.

"No, but I've put a lot of work into it." The doctor starts looking at the ties around his neck before looking at the eye "I don't know, what do you think?" I have to hide my laugh at him but I'm saved by the Atraxi interrupting.

"Is this world important?"

"Important? What's that mean? Important." He asks throwing his tie to me, as I throw it to Rory behind me. "Six billion people live here- is it important? Here's a better question, is this world a threat to the Atraxi?" He asks flinging another tie to me which I throw to Rory again. "Well come on, you're monitoring the whole planet. Is this world a threat?" The eye quickly shows a hologram of the world and aspects of its existence.

"No"

"Good. Are the people of this world guilty by the laws of the Atraxi?" The hologram shows more photos of earth and its people.

"No"

"Ok. One more, just one. Is this world protected?" Different monsters flashed through the hologram and I was transfixed by them, but my trance was broken by the Doctor tapping on my shoulder. Turning to him I see him holding up two ties, ones a bowtie and the other a normal tie. With a smile I point to the bowtie because bowties are cool. "Because you are not the first lot to come here, there has been so many! But what you have to ask yourself... what happened to them?" As he puts the bowtie on, I pick one of the blazers I think would fit him the best and help him put it on before stepping back, looking at the hologram. Its showing different men this time. They all look familiar but the more they go on the less familiar they are. Until finally the Doctor steps through the hologram completely dressed facing the Atraxi with a smile. "Hello. I'm the Doctor. Basically, run" and they did! The giant eyeball retreated into the ship and flew away, it mesmerised us all but my attention was caught by the Doctor grabbing something from his pocket and running away. I was so quick to follow him I didn't hear what Amy had to say.

THIS MAN RAN ALL THE WAY FROM THE HOSPITAL BACK TO AMY'S HOUSE! And you know I ran after him. I wasn't as fast as him, but I wasn't slow either. I arrived to him at the door of his blue box.

"Oh, you sexy thing"

"Did you seriously just call the box sexy?" I ask as I rest my hands on my knees trying to catch my breath. The Doctor quickly turns around looking at me shocked I followed him here.

"You followed me?" He quickly stepped out of the box towards me.

"You ran away. So, I followed, for some reason. I have no idea why but I'm here." I finally stood up straight looking the doctor in the face. "So, you're leaving again?"
