"So we've landed then?" i asked the Doctor from the floor, which is where I ended up due to his crazy driving. Clearly he isn't doing it correctly or I wouldn't be on the floor.
"Just landed her, '' he replies, all excited for the next adventure that will begin when we step through the doors.
"Can I?" Not currently capable of forming a full sentence, due to excitement, I simply point to the door, slightly bouncing on my toes trying not to just run off without the others. My eagerness was soon remedied when the Doctor just smiled and nodded, giving me the Ok to go and greet whatevers outside.
Quickly running to the door, I had no idea what would be on the other side... like a load of guns pointing right at my face. Faltering in my steps I take a second to realize precisely the situation I've landed myself in. And I smile. I'm being held at gunpoint!
"Guns!'' I can't help but shout from pure excitement as I continue my wee toe jumps, looking around the area it seems the people holding the guns are either greatly confused or a little scared of me. That's funny. "Guys they have guns. And they are all pointed right at me!" The Doctor soon emerges from the TARDIS looking around unphased by the guns but a small smile appears on his face from my childlike excitement.
"Yes birdy, I can see that '' placing his hand on my shoulder stopping my bouncing but i can't help continue to fidget with my hands. This is just too cool!
A more plump, shorter man makes his way through those with the guns to stand in front of us. I could instantly recognise him from what i've read, 3-piece-suit, hat and cigar.
"Amy, Phoenix. This is Winston Churchill '' and there's all the confirmation we needed. He's a lot shorter than I thought he'd be.
"Doctor? Is that you?"
"Ah Winston my old friend." The two men go in for a handshake but it seems the Prime Minister has other ideas as he turns his hand upwards indicating he wants something from the other. The Doctor seems to know exactly what he wants just chuckling at his friend. "Ah Everytime"
"What's he after?" Amy asks the Doctor, smiling at the fun interaction.
"The TARDIS key, of course"
"Think of what I could achieve with your remarkable machine, Doctor!" As Winston tries to argue his point the Doctor turns back to the TARDIS to both close and lock it while listening to his friend. "The lives it would save."
"It doesn't work like that." He responds, turning back to the conversation.
"Must I take it by force?" I know he is trying to be threatening but it's not really working in his favor.
"I'd like to see you try" the Doctor bounces back with a darker tone in his voice but still teasing. I can't say I disapprove of that voice.
"At ease" Winston finally commands his troops to lower their weapons.
"You rang?" and he's back to his normal tone, shame.
I was silent as we followed Winston through the halls, I got stuck in the middle with Amy and the Doctor by my side. This place was spectacular. Not as advanced or as complex as the Starship UK but still vastly interesting with all the phones going off, soldiers with guns running past and actual explosions happening above us.
"So you've changed your face again?" I wasn't paying too much attention to the conversation as my mind was just trying to take everything in. from every person to every pipe on the ceiling.
