Phoenix Fire (Doctor who fic)

(The Beast Below) Icky and too much.

This place genuinely looks like something out of a SI-FI movie... oh wait, I'm in space... this is science fiction. Looking around trying to make my way to the address on the ID card but this place is like a maze, how anyone can figure there way around here is insane. My thoughts are interrupted as I walk down a passage and a voice calls out from behind me.

"You're following me" sneaky, I like it. "saw you watching me in the marketplace" Mandy walks up to me, I slightly smile at her, she's a nice girl I can tell.

"You dropped this" I say handing over the ID wallet, Mandy grabbed it out of my hand.

"Yeah, when your friend kept bumping into me" she quickly storms away but unlucky for her I follow her.

"Yeah, sorry about him he-" I lost my train of thought as we came across a blockage in the road. "what's that?" I ask her as she stops looking up to me.

"There's a hole. We have to go back" she looks scared.

"A hole? In the road?" how is there a hole in a spaceship? Can't be like a pothole right?

"Are you stupid? There is a hole? We have to go back. There's a travel pipe down by the air lock if you've got stamps" ignoring her warning I make my way pass the gate towards the tent, travel pipe? Weird. "what are you doing?" She questions me as I examine the tent.

"Oh, don't mind me, I'm nosy. Could never resist a keep out sign" I say to her before mumbling "almost been arrested a handful of times but that's no important" I make my way over to the tent which strangely has a padlock on it. "So, whys it blocked off? What's so bad its locked even?"

"We're not supposed to talk about it" is all Mandy responded with which only intrigued me more.

"About what?" I move to sit on the floor to get a better view of the lock, but I get a bit of a shock from the cold concrete against my bare legs.... Oh, that's right, I'm in my pj's

"Below" well that's not ominous and vague. I quickly try and search for something to unlock the padlock while glancing at Mandy.

"And because you're not supposed to you don't?" I look in the Doctors jacket pockets and find a hair pin. A hair pin? Why does he have it? Two years ago. The cuffs, it's the same hair pin? "Watch and learn" I say to Mandy before picking the lock. "You remind me of my friend Amy, she's feisty but I think it's the red hair and the Scottish accent that makes her feisty" I randomly talk as I work with the lock.

"She's Scottish?" Mandy asks.

"Yeah, she's Scottish, anything wrong with it? I mean this is UK so Scotland's got to be here?"

"no, they wanted their own ship".

"Good old Scotland, Amy would be pleased with that." I wander how her and the Doctor are getting on?

"You don't seem like you're from here"

"Smart girl, its because I'm not" this lock is harder than I thought but saying that I'm In the future and only using a hair pin to unlock it.

"How did you get here?"

"oh, you know," I trusted a mad man with a blue box and he stole me and my friend to take us through time and space... nah that wont work. "Just passing through with my friend and that guy"

"he you boyfriend?" boyfriend, the Doctor? Absolutely not.

"No kid. He's not, and I don't even think he swings that way" I honestly don't I mean he hasn't shown any interest in anyone ... and he's an alien so that confuses things.
