HOOOOOOOOT!! TIS MY EYE SEE FAIR LADY LUZ AND HER DAME ADMITY??? HOOOOOOOOOT!! Luz and Amity drew close to the Owl House and they could already hear Hooty's obnoxious screaming in the distance.

"Ugggg." Luz smacked a palm to her face. "Hooty is trying out a fancy accent. He thinks he'll get more attention for it."

"It's fine," Luz laughed, secretly agreeing with Hooty that Luz was indeed, quite fair. They entered the Owl House, Hooty's screeches muffled behind the door.

"Hey Amits," Eda said as the two set down their backpacks in the living room.

"Oh, it's Amity."
"Ok Amy."

"Come on, let me show you my room," Luz said. She grabbed Amity's hand and pulled her up the stairs. "Here we are!" She opened the door to a...storage room? A sleeping bag was in the center of the room, and an Azura poster hung on the wall, but there was little else to distinguish it as a bedroom. Boxes and trinkets were scattered around the room and shelves were full of melted candles and old leather books covered in dust.

"Wow! It's so...different."

"Well, Eda didn't have an extra bedroom for me when I came, so I live in the back room! Do you like it?"

Amity looked around. "Ya," she smiled. It was messy. It was weird. It was...free. Luz's room was nothing like her's, which had to be perfectly tidy and neat, per her parents orders. "Ya, I think it's pretty cool."

"Great!" Luz shouted, pumping her fist into the air in excitement. "So what should we do first? We could discuss Azura, sneak into Eda's room and steal some magic items, or take Eda's staff for a ride."
Amity gaped at Luz. "You really do those things? Don't you get in trouble? My mom doesn't even like that I read Azura! She says I should only be reading 'academic literature.'"

"Well then, you need a taste of freedom! Come with me." Luz tiptoed into the hallway and stopped in front of Eda's door. Amity followed, her heart pounding in her chest at what they were about to do. Luz smiled at her misciously and held up a finger to make a "Shhhhhh" motion. Then she opened the door. Amity peared inside while Luz crept in. She saw a huge nest-like bed off to one side and a massive eye-like green window on the wall. Luz turned her head towards Amity, and motioned for her to come in.

Amity took a deep breath before tiptoeing after Luz. "What do you want to take?" Luz whispered. Amity's gaze was drawn to a shelf full of glittering potions. They reminded her a little of the purple muck she used in abominations spells.

"Those potions are cool," Amity offered.

"Great idea," Luz smiled. She stretched out her hand and grabbed a shiny pink potion before making her way to the door again. Amity followed and shut the door slowly behind her. They tiptoed back to Luz's room and burst into laughter as soon as Luz shut the door.

"I can't believe we just did that," Amity said between gasps of breath.

"What do you think it does?" Las asked, holding the potion in front of her.

"We could look it up in a textbook," Amity offered. "Aren't you in the potion's track?"

"Uh uh uh, good idea, or, hear me out: We could drink it and see what happens!"
"What?!" Amity shrieked, "Don't dri----" Luz ripped the cork off the bottle and chugged half the bottle before wiping her mouth on the sleeve. "Luz!"

"What? I'm fine! See?" Luz twirled in a circle. "You wanna take a sip?" Luz offered the bottle to Amity. Amity took the potion and stared at the pink liquid inside. She knew her mom wouldn't like this. But she looked back at Luz, who didn't seem to be suffering any ill effects. Ah, Fuck it she thought. Amity raised the potion to her lips and downed the rest of it.
