Malfoy Manor 1991
" We should get to bed," Lucius said as he stood at the doorway of Narcissa's study, he watched as his wife sat on the ledge of her window gazing out at the night sky something she'd always do, he never really understood why Narcissa found herself silently staring out into dark nothingness he never questioned her though, afraid that her blank expression is one step closer from her leaving him and the children, a step closer to her going back into a pit of sadness.
" Not until I find them," she mutters not sparing a glance to her husband instead keeping her focus out on the dark sky, Lucius said nothing instead he did what he always did he walked away from the doorway and made himself comfortable on the cream coloured couch.
The blonde turned away from the window raising a questioning brow, she never did this Lucius thought. Narcissa usually didn't spare him a glance of attention in moments like these, so why know? He asked himself. " Why do you do that?" she asked, furrowing his brows not knowing what she was asking he just laid there trying to find an answer to a question he simply did not know what was being asked.
Tilting her head and narrowing her eyes she told the blonde man " Lucius? Well, are you going to answer me?" Snapping out of his trance he looked up at the woman sending her a warm smile, " I'm not going to bed without you, so finish with whatever it is you do," Lucius replied in a harsher tone than what was intended "Please?" He added so that Narcissa wouldn't take his last words in the wrong way.
Narcissa stared at him for a moment before patting the space beside her, Lucius cautiously walked over to his wife taking a seat on the cold window ledge.
" Sirius should be easy to find, he's always the brightest," she told him motioning for him to look out at the sky, as soon as Narcissa gazed out the window she quickly spotted the star letting out a chuckle in approval. " What are you laughing at?" Lucius mumbled watching how Narcissa's eyes lit up when she stared at the star.
Flashback:
Sirius sat beside an annoyed Walburga while Narcissa laid snuggled in her sister's arms.
" That's why I'm the best in this family!" he practically yelled tauntingly pointing a finger towards Aurora who playfully rolled her eyes at the boy.
" Don't you roll your eyes at me, Ara, you aren't even named after a star. What kind of name is Aurora?!" Sirius taunted even more causing Narcissa let out low giggles.
" Unlike me who's named after the brightest star!" He said waving his arms dramatically while Walburga shook her head in disapproval though covering her mouth to hide the thin-lipped smile that made its way on her face.
