" She died today," whispered Narcissa as she stared at the portrait in front of her. Aurora's bright emerald eyes were the only colourful aspect of the portrait, she wore a black dress matching the colour scheme of the family portrait. Her eyes gleeful, her pink lips twisted into the fakest smile she could manage, that was their mother's doing of course.

Bellatrix held onto Aurora's shoulder, she managed a smile something better than what her younger sister did. Narcissa sat beside Aurora, her smile warm and genuine despite the dark times.

" I remember," is what Bellatrix managed to say. She played with her wand disinterested in her sister's pained looks, expression, and manner.

Narcissa side-eyed Bellatrix, furrowing her brows at an attempt to understand the women who sat behind her. " Stop it," her tone forced itself into a delicate manner.

" Stop what Cissy?" Bellatrix asked getting up from where she sat in Narcissa's drawing-room, walking to leave.

Narcissa moved to stopping her sister
" Stop being apathetic, your allowed to feel, don't be ashamed of such instinct. You are much more complicated than u set to appear, Bellatrix. It's okay to be complicated, you sister aren't just some
'crazed women' everyone speaks of." Her words rushed as she fiddled with her rings.

Bellatrix scoffed bumping into Narcissa's shoulder, she didn't come to Malfoy Manor to be scolded at like some child. And she most certainly didn't feel like Narcissa should be the one to do it.

" I know you regret everything," Narcissa called out just as Bellatrix step foot onto the hall. Bellatrix stopped, staring blankly at the moving portrait of a grey-eyed man, no doubt a Malfoy, though she never cared enough ask.

Bellatrix cocked her head towards the blonde, puzzled at the statement. How could someone go from 0-100 in just mere seconds?

Well if someone poked at you just the right way, then it's possible. Bellatrix tried to hide it, she tried to hide just how much Narcissa's words bothered her.

"I regret no choice I've made, "Bellatrix said baffled at the assumption. They both studied each other as if they could read their deepest and darkest secrets the silence thick and heavy.

Narcissa watched as her sister left her once again, it was just another sister fight. She'd come around, eventually. In all truth, she pitted Bellatrix. The tall curly-haired woman portrayed herself in the ways the world saw ' The Bellatrix Lestrange' strong, powerful, maniac.

Narcissa descended the hall, her grey stormy eyes holding regret as she pushed away the tears. Bellatrix was indeed strong, but not in the way most people thought. She loved more than she'd ever get back and she knew it, they all knew it and for that Narcissa held a pity towards her eldest sister.

They all did.

Narcissa lazily strutted down Diagon alley. Her hair was nicely pinned back into a half up and half down hair do, but despite the down hours, she carried herself with grace, that Halloween evening.
