chapter twenty six // abnormals

Previously..
Hange held my hand. "Are you ready?"
"Yes."
"Onward! Offer your hearts!" shouted Commander Erwin.
It's time, and the gates have opened.
───
The expedition was bound to take one or two days so as much as possible we all hope we don't become Titan food while camping in the woods. This isn't our biggest project judging as to how Eren can literally shift into a titan.
What leaves me curious is why Hange needed three whole Titans when we have Sawney and Bean. Outcomes of this mission are unpredictable as always. We can only hope for the very best.
"My love.." I mumbled.
"Don't worry, sweetie. We can do this! Come on now, we need to go to our respective positions. Buckle up!" Hange had reassured me. We both whipped our reins and off we went.
We were on the left side of formation, cart in the middle, Erwin in front and the others are wherever they are. Why, of course I know the formation. I just can't let myself get distracted.
Our ride was going on for a while now, no Titans so far. It's such a shame all this nature could be stepped on by these humongous disasters. Yet, they are so interesting to study about. It is weird how no matter how big these things are their body parts are as light as a feather.
Then, just when I didn't expect it. "Titans!" A red flare has been released. "We should avoid that area if there are not too many. After all, we are looking for abnormals. Very abnormal abnormals." I said. "But there are many, Y/N. Come on! It'll be fun slashing around. You don't have to kill that many because of your pregnancy. Just be careful and agile." said Hange, I nodded.
"You can try and come along. Just don't die. We've only been around for like thirty minutes."
There I went, off into the distance where the Titans roamed along with some of the cadets behind me.
"Nifa, take try to take that one down. I'll take care of the other two. Keiji take up the seven meter class. Rashad stay here and protect our horses. Lauda take the six meter class. Hange, let's take these." They all nodded.
They weren't all too hard.
One titan had tried to take a grasp of me, in which they. My foot at least. I managed to cut off a couple fingers and fly up to the nape of it. My hooks hooked on the skin and cut it, deep. I gave Hange a smile and a thumbs-up just before the Titan fell.
───
"Nice one Rash. All our versions of Jean are here. Are any of you hurt?" said Hange. All of us shook our head. "Damn! You all are pros then, let's go."
The lands were pretty much clear, however me nor Hange gave up on finding the three abnormals we wanted for our experiments. The area we are approaching next are supposed to be crawling with abnormals. I can't wait to see what the kinds of abnormals they have in store!
Evergreen trees have started to appear instead of grassy lands. A flowerfield of many kinds have been spotted, how could such a beautiful sight be a living home for these abnormals?
"Wow! Y/N, this place is so cool!" Hange exclaimed. "Calm down, love. We need to focus." I said, snapping her back into reality.
"Oh, sorry!"
