Chapter Twenty-One

I have so many mixed feelings, we have a couple minutes until we arrive in the inner walls. Me and Analiese hasn't been together in.. eighteen.. nineteen years? Yeah, me and Hange are at the same age.

Ana and I were inseparable despite being two walls away. We rarely met but when we did, our hands would be glued to each other. She wasn't my first friend, but other than Hange she was one of the best.

She was humorous and fashionable, royal but not literally. Analiese was all this but she NEVER made any dramatic situations, in fact, when she talked to others she was shy. Did I ever hint myself that I might have liked her in the past? I have denied my feelings cause they were little, but they were there.

However, since her "death" they faded. 

I know she's alive, that's her last name. I know it is.

Levi, I'll kick your balls for taking away my best friend's innocence. You will pay, just you watch me Ackerman.

"Y/n~ Wake up~" Hange sang softly, booping my nose. "Huh? Are we here?" I said, fluttering my eyes open alertly. "We are! Look at it! It's huge." She nodded and replied in awe. 

This palace is huge. "Woah.." I whispered as Hange took my hand and walked off the carriage that was in front of the cadet's carriages. "Don't worry, Y/n. She'll be here for sure." Hange reassured, I nodded.

"Ah, welcome to the Palace. Please, do enjoy. I am sure your journey was long and tiring, there are some seats inside." One guard said. "Thank you for serving us justice even if it's just a little bit. We are very grateful." Another said, I nodded and smiled.

'Hmph. Grateful my ass.' I thought.

"I know what you're thinking, calm down." Hange said, patting my back. I smiled at her and faced forward as our bodies were consumed in bright light and classical music. Violins and pianos were being played in the background and chandeliers danced on top of the ceilings.

It was so beautiful.

'Wow..' I thought. I never in my life seen these things. Through my years of titan slaying, and being in a poor town. This is such a sight to see. Red carpets and lit up walls. It truly is gorgeous, if me and Hange had this all to ourselves. I would already call it peace.

"The ball has started, enjoy the feast you all. Scout Regiment, they are looking for you." One announcer said. "This is so beautiful! Oh my gosh!" Hange said in joy. Precious.

"I know, now.. Come on." I said with a bright, tender smile. Our boots stepping against the floor and our dresses waving in the breeze of such the palace. We walked through the doors, glances from each angle of the room came to us. 

Eren, Mikasa, Jean, Sasha, Connie, Armin, Levi, Erwin.. You could say the 'gang' except Levi. "It is such a pleasure to be with you, thank you for your hard work." The highness said. "It truly is, thank you for inviting us." Erwin said, all of us shaking hands.

Our little meeting with the royalties were over after a while. It was nothing serious, really. Now, my quest to find my supposed to be dead best friend has commenced. I'm sure she's with Levi. 

Where is she. Where is she.. I know, she's here somewhere with that cheating pest. I bump into one of the butlers. "Hi, sir! Do you have a guest list?" I said with a warm smile. You awkward little beast. 

"Yes, I do. Who are you looking for?" He said. "Analiese.. Analiese Krants." I said, softly this time. "Ah, yes. Our favorable Analiese Krants. She should be around, I am unsure where she was after she came here, miss. However, rest assured she'll be right at your back. Miss Krants is wearing bright blue." He said, I nodded and went off with my little journey.

Our favorable Analiese Krants, huh? My search around the palace wasn't long. When I was just about to give up. A spur of hope got to me.

"I don't think I'll find her, maybe it's just a different person." I sighed. "Y/n?" A familiar voice called.

"Analiese?"

"Y/N!"

I was in tears. I never expected to really find her, only thing that threw me off the edge was that she was with.. Levi.. "I missed you, what happened?" I cried into her arms. "Oh my darling. I survived somehow, a mysterious, yet seemed to be trained woman saved me after you left, luckily." She said, making me look at her.

"I see. Can.. Can we talk in private?" I said, stammering with my words. "Of course!~ Come along now." She said. Ana really never changed, didn't she?

"I really hate to burst your bubble of love.. Levi.." I said, softly looking down. "You know him?" She said. "I do, he was my ex." 

Analiese's eyes shot open, wide and at the verge of tears. "..What happened between you two?" Ana finally replied. "He cheated on me. Then cheated on the woman who he was cheating on when we were still together, that woman that he left for the woman after me.. It was you." I admitted.

"W-..What?.. No, maybe it's a mistake!" She said, shaking her head in denial. "Shh.. Look at me Liese. I know this is a big weight to carry but you'll only get hurt.. I don't want that." I smiled warmly.

"You're my best friend, I want the best for you. Or.. was all we went through a lie?"

"Of course not! You've always been my best friend darling, after 19 years.. The least I could do is to make you happy. Plus, for the sake of my future.. I want to be happy." She said, getting her game up and releasing herself from my embrace.

"Atta girl." I said with a smirk, following behind her. 

"So.. Are you still single?~" She said, my eyes wide. 'Should I tell her?'  I thought. "No, not exactly. Do you remember Hange?" I said, and when I mentioned her name. Ana jumped. "Oh my gosh! I'm so happy for you!~ I loved her, she was so fun to play with back then oh my!" She jumped once more, covering her mouth in shock.

"Haha.. I didn't expect that." I replied, scratching the back of my neck. "What ever do you mean?! Of course I would, you're my best friend aren't you?" 

"Of course."

"Levi Ackerman." She said, I was watching behind a pillar, making sure my chains don't clang. I managed to get Petra with me so we could all beat him up and his suit and tie.

"Yes, love?" Levi replied. "We're over~" She sang. "W-What? What do you mean. For what ever reason? What has gotten into you Krants?" He spoke, sternly.

"Ap ap. That's Princess Krants for you"

GAAAAAAAAAAHHHH How do you like this one? Not sure how well it came out but finally my project week is finished! Next two or next chapter will still be in the same setting, I'm kind of sad this book will end soon. This has truly been a journey, thank you all for 1.8k reads!

After this book is finished I only expect it to only reach 2k and when I finish the book it's gonna stay that way, at least I expect so LMAO. Still, thank you!
