Chapter Twenty-Five

chapter twenty-five // preparation.

"Good morning sunshine, get up. We have early training before we prepare our equipment." said Hange. It was the day, I really hope everything will go well today. It worries me that our search for not one, not two, but three strange and abnormal titans today may result in many losses. After all, we will be capturing mostly gigantic titans. This is a risky risk but we trust in each other that no matter what happens, we will be together in it.

"Alright, good morning my love" I smiled genuinely, she had smiled back. Hange pushed her hair back and gave me a towel to go shower. "Be quick, it's seven right now you have an hour to get dolled up, my queen." She had added, I nodded and closed the door. 

I'm ready. Is what kept repeating in my head, this expedition would be difficult since of course, I'm pregnant and I'm a lot more fragile. Usually no one would allow people like me to attend expeditions but three abnormals? Hange gets distracted all too easily and I need to protect her even if it costed my life.

"Section Commander!" One cadet had knocked, their voice was muffled by the shower running but I could hear them. "Yes, Oluo." 

Haha, that letter spreading brat? Tsk.

"Commander Erwin is asking for you both, please hurry." He had said, good. No problems it seems. 

"My queen! Hurry up! Erwin is asking for us!" Hange had knocked on the door. I stopped the shower after finishing. "Yes my love! I'll be out in a while." I had replied, already grabbing my towel and drying myself off.

"Hange, are you sure you wanna go through with this plan? You do realize Y/N is two months in her pregnancy already and it's fragile to have her on. We could always just go for normal titan executions or capture a normal one, right?" Commander Erwin stated, Hange turned to me. "Sir, I may be pregnant, yes. But I will do my best performance while being as careful as I can, as well as protecting Hange in case of some of her reckless moves." I turned to her, slightly chuckling. 

"Yes, commander. But I'm sure we will succeed even with the limitations we both have, please trust in us." She turned to the commander. 

"Very well, you may proceed to the training grounds. I will see you two in a while, prepare well." He nodded, we both saluted and exited his office. I sighed of relief and yet worry at the same time. 

"Y/N, don't worry. We can do this, alright? Three abnormals shouldn't be so hard!" said Hange, holding my hands and looking me in the eyes with reassurance. I nodded. 

"Thank you for always being by my side even when I was with Levi, I love you so much." I hugged her, giving a peck on the cheek soon after. "Aww! I love you so much too my lovely titan slayer!" 

"Hurry up you lover brats, hand-on-hand combat. Go." Levi had called us, at this point I have no issue with him, we're not friends either. "Let's go." I whispered. Hange skipped along side me. 

"Seems we are all complete. Petra and Y/N. Horse-shit and Titan-crap-" Levi was interrupted. "I'm sorry captain, but could you not call us that?" Jean had confronted so confidently. "Rest in peace my dude." I had mumbled to myself. 

"Tch, fifty laps for correcting me. Horse-shit is your name, right? No need to correct me when I am right." 

"Very well. As I was saying.. Those two, Oluo and Reiner. Berturtle and Sasha. Mikasa and Springer. Sasha and me." Sasha's eyes suddenly widened. I gave her a look of reassurance and a strong fist. I approached her before getting ready.
