chapter twenty-four // treat

──────────────────────────────────────────

It has been a few days since the royal ball. The HQ has been quite hectic since. A night after the ball, I had already confirmed me and Hange's relationship. It was pretty obvious anyways. The next mission on capturing titans and putting them under our hold for experimentation and research will begin tomorrow. Our fate is in the hands of this mission and anything could happen.

We are looking for three abnormals, after all. It is a risky risk. I know we could achieve this despite the slightly reckless attitude of my Hange. She gets distracted easily but I will try my best to protect her, even if it costed my life.

A relationship like ours was out of the ordinary, well. It was after all year, eight hundred? It is to be expected of, our style of relationship was always a girl to boy. However, we turned it around. Looks like no one really gives a hell! Which is good, I couldn't care less if they shitted on our heads anyway.

"Good morning Y/N! How was your sleep?" Armin had greeted on my way to the mess hall. Hange was still brushing the knots out of her hair after all the curling it had gone through.

My mind was still quite hazy, I had just woken up and the water was warm, I would obviously be yet still sleepy. "I'm.. It was great. Thank you, Armin." I yawned, stretching my arms out.

I eye my surroundings, itching the edges of my eyes and find my full consciousness. Hange called out to me. "My loove! I hope I didn't take too much time! What's for breakfast?~" She sang, running in my direction. It is so early in the morning to be this energetic, how does she do it?

"Haha, hi, good morning my love. It's the same thing, we have garlic on our bread this time." I gave her a peck on the lips. "Finally! Our bread isn't so stale! What a great day isn't it~" Hange jumped, passing me and Armin.

I catched up to her, sitting beside her and Petra, our usual table. "What's on the list for today?" I yawned. "Brighten up, sunshine! It's a good day today, and good food, too." Petra smirked. "Well, we have a few tests to run on Sawney and Bean today. We have some training, cleaning, you know, the usual." Hange shrugged. I nodded.

"Well then, can't wait to get paid." I said, smirking, raising one of my legs on top of the other. Hange and Petra looked at each other, knowing exactly what I had meant.

"I'm not wearing the corset ever again, might kill this hell of a child." I chuckled.

"Okay! What are we doing today miss Zoe?" I had laughed, putting on our special lab coats with our names sewed in. "Well, do a favor for me and let me give my absolute affection." Her demeanor had changed, from bubbly to attractively dominant.

Hange pinned me against the wall I had behind me and kissed me, a long, passionate kiss. It had no true sense of want, just.. love. I had obviously kissed back and it lasted quite the while. "My experiment this time will be on humans, their face.. The perfect imperfections of a human, we will be testing all of it on this wonderful person." She said.

My face flushed, I chuckled and let her continue either way. Hange kissed my forehead. "This, right here. It reeks of intelligence, yet stubborn and stupid thoughts. I hate how it malfunctions and spits out false information as if they weren't beautiful. However, this, this made her get to together with me. I'm so grateful." said Hange.
