Jane took Henry to her house, but the minute they stepped over the threshold, he knew it was wrong. As much as he wanted to, he couldn't push that thought from his head. It was there flashing randomly like a warning light.

Are you coming? She asked him from partway up the stairs.

I can't. I have to go. He said before turning and walking out the front door. He began walking in the direction his house was in before giving up and calling Jasper.

Hey Jasp. I need a ride. he said.

Hen, where are you? I looked up and you were gone. I've been looking for you for an hour and a half. He said.

I don't know where I am. I went home with that girl. He said.

Hen... Jasper said in a disapproving tone.

Don't start, Jasper. I didn't do anything, it was just that I entered in, and just had something going off in my head telling me no. He said.

I know. Do you see anything familiar around you? Jasper asked.

I'm so drunk right now, it doesn't even feel like I am walking on solid ground. But I can see a convenience store up ahead. He said.

Great. Jasper said before disconnecting the call. A couple of minutes later, Jasper pulled up beside Henry, and Henry climbed in the car.

Thanks. He said.

It's what brothers are here for. Now, what are you going to do about Charlotte? Jasper asked.

Wait, and see. Once she gets home, it's all up to her. He said.

That's the most stupid idea I have ever heard, Hen. You need to go to Phoenix on Thursday. You being there when she goes on trial despite how you feel about doing it. I think she wants you to be there. Jasper said.

So, you think I should go? Henry asked.

Yes. If don't, then you are going to be one lonely man after this is all over. Jasper said firmly. "You screwed up, and now it's time for you to own up to it."

Will you come with me? I don't think I can face her alone. I said pretty vile things to her. He asked hopefully.

Of course, I'll come. I'm the reason why you decided, and I am not going to watch you avoid it. Jasper said firmly.

Charlotte and Chloe arrived at her parent's house late that evening. Charlotte knocked on the front door, trying to pull herself together before her parents opened the door. She did it just in time before her mom, Kim opened the door.

Charlotte? What are you doing here? Kim asked, surprised to see her daughter.

Grant's trial is Thursday. I wanted to be here for it. Charlotte said leaving out her fight with Henry.

Well, then get in here. We missed you, sweetheart. Kim pulled her into a hug.

Missed you too, mom. Listen, I'm kinda tired. Would it be ok if Chloe and I just went up to bed? Charlotte asked her mom.

Oh, of course. We'll talk in the morning. She said ushering the girls upstairs.

Thanks, mom. Charlotte said.

Good night. Chloe said following Charlotte up the stairs.

Chloe, would you like the extra room, or do you want to room with Charlotte? Kim asked.

With Charlotte. We've enjoyed the nights we spent together. Chloe smiled and was trying to hide the real reason why she was sleeping with Charlotte.

Kim nodded, then turned away to go somewhere else in the house.
