It Is What It Is

Charlotte spent the day after the break-up crying uncontrollably. She couldn't believe that she had ended something that was so good. Charlotte knew she was in love with Henry even more than Grant and somewhere deep inside of her she knew that Henry wouldn't hurt her the same way Grant had. She heard a knock on the bathroom door and Chloe opened the door.

Last Night

Chloe came home after avoiding Charlotte to only find Charlotte crying on the ground even though Chloe was upset about her decision with the baby she knew that she needed to hold her opinion in and comfort her friend.

Back to regular time

Are you almost ready to go? Chloe asked.

Yeah, Let's go and get this over with. Charlotte said pulling herself out of bed and pulling up a pair of jeans and Henry's Basketball sweatshirt.

Are you sure you want to tell your parents you're pregnant with me instead of Henry? Chloe asked.

Yeah, I need you there. Henry and I aren't together anymore. She reminded her.

I know that but Henry is the father. You know it would make your parents comfortable if Henry was there. Chloe said.

I know but they also need to know that Henry and I aren't together. It's not fair to give them false hope about that. Charlotte said.

Fine. Let's get this over with. Chloe said walking out to the car. Charlotte followed closely behind her and got in the passenger seat. Once Chloe started driving, Charlotte leaned her head on the window and tried to sleep the whole way to Phoniex, Arizona but every time she closed her eyes the hurt expression on Henry's face clouded her mind.

Henry's house

Jasper sat on the chair in Henry's room staring at Henry concerned. He had never seen his brother like this. He didn't think that the break up would affect him this much.

Have you talked to Charlotte today, Jasper? Henry asked needing to know how she was.

No, but I talked to Chloe before they left this morning. Jasper said.

Where are they going? Henry asked alarmed.

Don't worry, They are going to Phoniex so Charlotte can tell her parents. Charlotte just needs a break and she needs to get away from Swellview. Jasper explained.

You mean she just wants to get away from me. Henry clarified.

She's ready to put your relationship behind her and just wants to be your friend. She needs that security for her and her baby. Jasper said.

I don't know if I can just be her friend. Henry said sadly.

You'll figure it out sometime. It'll be hard but in the end, it'll be worth it. Jasper assured his younger brother.

Thanks, Jasp. Henry said.

No problem. Now onto bigger issues, Are you going to tell your mom? Jasper asked.

I guess I have to don't I? Henry said reluctantly.

Yeah. Jasper said smiling.

Chloe's Car

Chloe glanced over at Charlotte in the passenger seat, she couldn't believe that her best friend was so sad and there was nothing she could to fix it. She just had to be supportive and always be there for her. Charlotte was going to need her.

I'm sorry, Chloe. I know I haven't been a good friend to you recently. Charlotte apologized, seeing Chloe staring with worry evident on her pretty face.
