My hands are still shaking. They're cold and probably sweaty. And Matt won't stop holding one of 'em. I kinda freaked out a little bit when he called me his boyfriend in front of his mom. I'm really glad he's feeling better now. And looking much happier than when we came here.
As the event ends, and we exited the gym, the two of us held hands all the way outside the building, the crowns and sashes still on us. Someone got us a big plastic bag for his suit so he didn't have to carry it all night.
As soon as we got out the doors and the cold air hits our face, I kept looking around to see if that guy, Johnny, is still around and if he's still gonna be looking for trouble. Matt recognizes my worried look.
"If you're worried about Johnny, don't be," he puts his hand on my shoulder, "I think he got the message."
I look in his eyes and nod before his arm slides down and wrapped around me holding me tightly in a hug again. I can't help but melt into him. My head rested against his shoulder. (He smells nice).
As he breaks the hug, his palm was on my cheek.
"I love you" he says and my heart jumps.
"I love you, too"
He leans into me, and our lips touch.
One more kiss for the night before the rest of our lives.
