The park looks so lovely at night, the cold breeze under the warm lights that illuminated the natural beauty of the park. Matthew looks around with a smile on his face and I grin as I stared at his amazement.

"I don't think I've ever been here before, actually," he says, "Funny how I've lived in this city for so long and I know so little about it"

I'm glad he's enjoying this already. And I'm also glad to be the reason he got up his butt to see all of this beauty.

As we walked around the park, we find a flat area where we can sit down on the grass to gaze the stars. He sets down a picnic cloth for us to sit and lie on. I lie down and he does too next to me.

I raise my eyebrows as I suddenly reach into my pocket. "Oh, almost forgot," I grab my phone from my pocket, "you wouldn't mind if I played some music for us, would you?"

He chuckles and smiles at me, "Of course not"

Yesss. I've prepared a playlist specifically for this moment. Just some slow songs. I've got songs from musicals like, Rewrite the Stars, Only Us, City of Stars, and a couple of other non-musical songs like songs from the Beatles or something.

This first one played was City of Stars. I set the volume to not that loud so we could still talk without having to raise our voices. Sort of like a background music. I hear him humm to the song, which makes me very happy.

I relaxed and stared at the night sky. "Wow" I think, this view is always just above our heads and we never really notice how beautiful it is not until we truly stop and stare for a second.

Same can be said for Matthew. I slowly turn myhead to him and stared for a second. He's talking about something his mom didthat was kinda funny when he was younger. He laughs and I smile.
