JADE POV

I woke up with the same kind of dream again but I still couldn't see his face. I didn't know who he was but I knew that I had loved him. It certainly has something to do my accident in which I lost my memories. I did remember everything except the college years. Those 5 years made me feel like I was missing everything. The more I thought about it, the pain in my head flared until I gave up.

''Jade, dear, are you okay?'' I looked up my plate to see a worried Martha staring at me and I waved her off.

''I'm fine! Never felt better, thanks to your wonderful cooking!'' She rolled her eyes at that.

I looked up as the door closed upstairs and Ethan walked down the stairs swiftly, tightening his tie. He wore white shirts often and I loved the way it complimented his fair skin. It moulded his muscular body and I could even see his biceps bulging through the shirt.

Man, I gotta stop this. I find it difficult to avert my eyes off him and sometimes it would get me all hot and bothered, I was afraid someone would notice my blushing face.

He pulled the chair back and slumped onto it, ''Didn't you sleep well last night?''

''Not bad'' I focused on my plate.

''Bad dreams?''

''Hmm, felt more like memories'' His hand stopped halfway towards his mouth and he glanced at me. He looked straight into my eyes like he was trying to figure out something.

''What's wrong?'' His eyes went to my neck and I realised he was looking at my pendant.

''You know what it is don't you?'' I touched it lightly.

Whatever it was, snapped his attention and he set the fork down. ''I don't. We're leaving for work.''

But I wasn't satisfied with his answer, ''Ethan, I'm asking you! Do you know what's with this thing?''

''I don't know! Don't ask me anything, okay?!'' He yelled and stormed out of the house and I heard the car speeding away.

He knew something.

He had the answers to the questions I had in mind all these years.

What if he was a part in my memory?

The rest of the day was a blur. I could hardly concentrate with the headache bugging me and I had taken two pills already. If this goes on, I am sure it would kill me.

It was almost a week since the incident and he was still ignoring me or it might be the other way but an uncomfortable silence hung in the atmosphere all the time. It certainly didn't mean I am giving up clearing my doubts, I was just waiting for the perfect time.

''Jamie, how long do we have?'' Ethan's voice cut thorough my thought like a sword. He walked past the tables with the other staffs right behind him.

I nudged Val, ''What's going on?''

''Boss wasn't informed about the meeting on purpose and he is going to be late. The chairman hates tardiness.'' In other words, Ethan was in serious trouble and he didn't even bother telling me.

ETHAN POV

''What? Right now? Within 10 minutes?'' I kicked my table in annoyance. ''Jamie, gather the files.''

I rushed out of the office, watching Jade run ahead of me. Where was she going now? She was supposed to leave with me.

''Sir, the meeting starts within 10 minutes and it takes about half an hour to reach the enterprises.''

''An hour actually, considering the traffic.'' Valentina spoke and the loud horn interrupted us. Jade rode the motorcycle towards the entrance and removed her helmet, letting her long hair down and looked up at the floor and gestured me to come out.

I grabbed the documents from Jamie and she tossed me another helmet as I ran at her.

''Hold tight!'' She zoomed past the building, leaving the men open-mouthed and the woman crazy.

She saved me again. I would have been in a serious trouble if I was a minute late today and she took the place of Jamie, jotting down notes.

''Jade, thankyou.'' I said in a low voice and she nodded even without looking at me and walked into her room.

We barely spoke nowadays. She followed me wherever I went and everything seemed to be strictly related to business. She seemed a bit strange since last week, more like tired and I didn't ask whether those dreams were bothering her because then I would have to tell her.

I wasn't...just ready to do that.

I wasn't sure if our relationship would be the same if she hears the past and that would hurt me even more.

''Ace, she might remember something.'' I talked into my phone.

''Dude, do you even know what time it is? Why do you always have to call me when I'm asleep? So annoy......wait, what did you say?'' The line went quiet, signalling for me to speak.

''She's been having dreams and I don't know what it is about but I don't dare to ask her.''

''Why not? Tell her everything, she'll understand.''

''But what if she doesn't forgive me for leaving her like that?''

''Then state the reason. Tell her you couldn't bear to see her like that.''

A part of me wanted to do that but I had so many what ifs running in my mind already.

''Now?''

''Yeah, I guess it's the right time. Do it before she asks you.''

I hung up and I trudged up the stairs in confusion. How do I start?

But as soon as I opened the door, I froze.

She stood in just a towel, her hair dripping wet and my eyes went along her body. Fragile but beautiful and I was mesmerised by it. It was the word I can use to describe her. My feet took me to her involuntarily and she blinked slowly. I lifted my hand and pushed her wet hair behind her ears and she shuddered at my touch. I swallowed hard as I brought my face close her hers and she shut her eyes and the next thing I felt, was her soft, red lips touch mine.

Her hands went up around my neck and I pulled her closer to me, moulding our body together.
