So while you're deep sleeping
And I'm here a vigil keeping.
While I can't seem to sleep
As the world around is asleep.
While I lie on my left side__
And you suddenly cross my mind;
Making my heartbeat seem loud,
And the thoughts of you race round__
Making me wish you were here
So I can hold you tight dear.
But since it's not the case,
I wish at least you visit my dreams.I turn and lie on my back,
But of sleep, there's still a lack.
Wanting to sleep, I begin to huff
Knowing in the morning, I'll feel rough.
I snuggle down under the cover
My body wants one thing, my heart another.
Love has dragged me under its spell
And for you, made me deep fell.
I crave your touch, look and voice,
That I can't have because of distance, time and place.
Knowing that, I lie here, looking at the ceiling,
Trying to write just how I'm feeling.
