"Hot espresso and-"

"Chocolate chip cookie?" The barista cut Lisa in.

She chuckled, "yep, and please bring the cookie to th-"

"The guy in black shirt with cute dimples?" Again, the barista didn't even let her finish. His eyebrows were lifted, chuckling, showing mischievousness all over his face. Realizing how she came to the café almost every day, ordering the same things for her and the guy, she immediately understood. That barista was sure tired of her antics.

Still devouring the situation she was in and the embarrassment she had to endure, she nodded. She was just going to give him the money when he said, "look, you knew the prices too well."

"I mean, yeah?" the fifty bucks were already in that barista's hand.

Lisa decided to play with him and said, "Thank you, you're not gonna ask me where I sit?"

"Is that even necessary?" she just responded it with a short laugh and walked to the usual corner seat near the huge window.

Then there she was, like a creepy person, looking at a handsome young man with pretty smile, whose names is still unknown. Just like that, she admired him and noticing every little detail about him. How he always seems to be busy over something in his notebook, how he always has his airpods on, also how he eats in a very cute way, she might say in a very biased way. And how he would smile time to time, showing his dimples, which made her unconsciously smile too.

Her thoughts shattered when the barista delivering his (or her?) chocolate chip cookie to him. "One chocolate chip cookie," said the barista.

Like every other day, he immediately removed one of his airpods and thanking the barista for the cookie. But unlike every other day, he finally chose to ask the question that had been on his mind lately, "I'm sorry but is this someone's doing? Who's behind this?" The barista nodded, indicating that there's actually someone who specifically bought chocolate chip cookie in every chance she had for him.

Lisa felt a thump on her chest, she shifted her attention anywhere but him as she casted an inexistent spell for the barista so he wouldn't expose her.

Few seconds after, she heard "I can't tell you that, sorry sir." And she exaggerated a sigh. Her spell actually worked.

Before the barista excused himself, that guy said, "please send my gratitude to them, but I don't think I deserve this?"

"It's okay, Sir, the person insisted, you don't have to feel guilty." Lisa smiled, thanking the barista a bunch of times internally.

That guy frowned, "I would be very pleased to meet them, do you think you can make them show up to me?"

This time she jerked her head up, accidentally meeting eyes with the barista, she shook her head vigorously. But the barista seemed to have his own answer, "Sure, I'll try, Sir."

Lisa heard everything, the panicked expression was apparent. She was not ready for this yet, she still had zero courage. It almost two hours and Lisa didn't move an inch from her place. That very guy exited the cafe already, leaving Lisa and her now cold espresso.

The next day she did the same routine, ordered the same thing, and sat at the same place. The dimple guy was there too, minding his own business. A moment later the barista came and serve her usual hot espresso, and a cookie.

"Aren't you supposed to deliver this to him?" Lisa frowned, particularly talking about the chocolate chip cookie.

The barista took a seat in front of her and his face turned serious, "I'm sure you heard him yesterday."

"No, thank you." She said firmly.

"You seem to admire him and it's been two weeks but you got nothing, not even his name." facts. "At this point you will spend an entire month giving him cookies and lowkey wishing him to have diabetes."

"I mean, he asked you to show up, so that's okay! What are you worrying about?" she barely knew the barista but he managed to make her think twice. "Now go, I'll definitely rooting for you and have your back." He gave her a reassuring smile before leaving her stoned with the cookie.

The chocolate chip cookie was cold and she still did nothing but contemplating. She then looked at the barista who already giving her a sweet-encouraging look. He mouthed the words "you can do it" before he clenched his fist, which somehow making her chuckle. Her attention was now at that guy who was busy with something on his phone, and then the cold cookie on her hand.

Finally, she tried to gather all her courage, brushed her insecurities off, and after she sucked a good amount of air, she was ready to approach that guy. Lisa was ready.

With all the confidence she collected, she stood up. But soon after, she sat again.

"Chanie!" she heard a feminine voice approaching that guy.

Chan smiled so brightly upon seeing the girl, "Honey, what took you so long?"

That smile was Chan's brightest one she ever witnessed. He seemed so happy that Lisa couldn't help but to remain sitting on her seat so that beautiful smile wouldn't disappear. She couldn't let herself break Chan's smile away.

Moments later, Chan packed his things up, hands around the girl's waist, definitely looking like a couple. Just like that, Chan and his girl leaving the heartbreaking scene of Lisa's perspective.

Contrary to the sad scene in front of her, she smiled to herself. At least she knew his name.
