Julian's POV:
We all sit down in front of Mrs. Quintin. " Thank you all for coming in. Now as you all know your children were all involved in a fight that took place earlier today." Quintin said. "Ma'am this is completely ridiculous. My son is the sweetest boy ever. I see no reason why he would get into a fight." One of the boy's moms said. "Well Mrs. Williams I have reviewed the security cameras and saw that your boy and Mr. Smith are the ones who started the fight." Quintin said.
Mrs. Quintin pulls up a video on her computer and shows us the footage of the children. We see the 2 boys picking on Marcus and the girl. The boys start beating up Marcus and one of them knocks out the girl. Quintin stops the video. "Son? Why would you do that?" Oscar's dad asked. "I don't know." Oscar said. "Mr. Smith. Mr. and Mrs. Williams. I spoke to Miss Reynolds alone and she said that your boys are constantly picking on her and Marcus." Quintin said.
"Danielle sweetie is this true?" Danielle's mom asked. "Yes mom. And they only do it because they think our teacher Miss Kingson gives Marcus special treatment just because he's her nephew." Danielle said.
Jalena's POV:
"Is that true? Does their teacher give him special treatment?" Mr. Williams asked. "No not at all. I can assure you that all the kids in that class are treated equally. But I can assure you that your son and Mr. Smith will be punished. Violence will not be tolerated at this school. So I'm gonna have to give them a one week suspension." Quintin said. "That seems fair." Mr. Smith said. "I agree." Mrs. Williams said.
"Great. Thanks for coming in. You may all leave." Quintin said. We all get up to leave. "Actually Dr. Summers and Mr. Albert can you guys stay? There's one more thing I need to discuss with you and Marcus." Quintin said. "Ok." I said. We sit back down as the others leave. "What's going on?" Julian asked. "Well while I was reviewing the footage from the fight and I saw something that I thought you'd wanna see." Quintin said.
She pulls the footage back up and plays the video. Me and Julian watch as Marcus' eyes turn electric blue and his hair turns white. My eyes widen. We see Marcus zap Oscar and Evan with lightning. Quintin turns the video off. "It looks as though your son is a meta human." Quintin said. I look at my son. "Marcus how long has this been going on?" I asked. "About a week." Marcus said. "Thanks for sharing this with us Mrs. Quintin." Julian said.
"Of course." Quintin said. Me, Julian, and Marcus get up and walks out. We take Marcus out to the car and drives to STAR Labs. *at STAR Labs* When we get to the lab we have Caitlin and Cisco run some tests on Marcus. "Well there are definitely dark matter particles in his system. Definitely a meta." Cisco said. "If Marcus is a meta then why is his powers only just now appearing?" I asked.
"Well I think it's because Marcus was really young when the particle accelerator exploded. It could be possible that since he's still young that the dark matter is slowly starting to make it's way into his system." Caitlin said. I sigh. "I'm gonna run some more tests on him to see what type of injuries he got from that fight." She said. "Ok." I said. Caitlin starts checking Marcus' injuries. "When were you planning on telling me about your powers?" I asked.
"When I got to college." Marcus said. "Really? Marcus I'm your mother. I have the right to know if this is happening to you." I said. "I know but I knew that if you found out you would just try to invent a machine to take them away." He said. "You're right. I would do that. Because I wouldn't want you to go through the same situation I went through when I first got my powers. I couldn't control them and it scared me." I said.
"Ok but you've learned to control it. And look at you now. You're a superhero. I wanna be a superhero too." He said. "No you don't. Being a superhero is dangerous. You could get severely hurt." I said. "So what? Dad was a fireman. He was in dangerous situations everyday." He said. "That's different. He was an adult. You're just a kid. I'm glad your father helped people but that's the reason he died." I said.
"No that's the reason he died the first time. The second time he died was because he was trying to hurt us so you killed him." He said. "Marcus!" I said. "You know if dad was here he would've agreed to me being a hero." He said. "Yeah well he's not so you can forget about being a superhero." I said. "Sometimes I wish it was you who died instead of dad!" He said and gets up and runs out of the med bay. "Marcus wait!" I said.
Julian's POV:
Me and the team walk into the med bay. "Hey." I said. "Hey." Jalena said. "So we heard the whole thing. Are you ok?" Barry asked. "My only son just told me that he wishes I was dead so no I'm not ok." Jalena said. "I'll go talk to him." I said. "No don't." She said. "Trust me. I got this." I said and walks out to find Marcus.
