"Pureblood"

The rest of the week chugged by slower than a crawling tortoise. Classes bored me to death. And nothing interesting has happened amoung the castle.

But, between Herbology and Transfiguration, my nights have been booked. So I guess the non-active castle, wasn't that big of a deal. I had literal bucket loads of homework, bucket loads!

In professor Sprouts class, we've began working with adult Mandrakes. That is, only the honors class. We have been transplanting, and harvesting. In about a week or so, we should be able to start working on a herbal medicine that comes from there roots. Even though she has provided us with ear muffs, and she had strained their adult cries, it still gives me an agonizing headache! But besides the the constant Advil's, nothing bad has happened to anyone. Yet.

Now in Transfiguration, Professor McGonagall. She has given us our daily dose of homework each day, four pages each day to be exact, double sided! Plus, all of the study guides, and practice tests, it's a lot. She's been very panicked for the O.W.L.S and she wishes for us to do our best. I do appreciate all she does for us, but we still are children and we need a break. Besides, O.W.L.S, doesn't start for another five months.

I think her stress has been waring off on me lately. Normally, I would have all of my homework done, though it's a lot, but recently my head has just been racing a hundred miles a minute. I can't seem to stay focused for a long period of time. An hour tops, before I start procrastinating or getting distracted.

Fortunately, Snape and Flitwick didn't give us any assignments. That's not really anything new for charms, Flitwick likes when we do the work right in front of him. But when I tell you I was shocked that we got nothing for potions, I was shocked. Snape, had still said for us to read a bit of pages in the textbook, though it wasn't mandatory. But it was recommended!

He had stated that we would be started a new project in potions, new seats, new partners, new tasks. I was very much excited, I loved potions, although it was one of the harder subjects for me. I always tried hard in that class, to prove myself worthy I guess. Snape always favors the Slytherin, sometimes he compliments Hermione, even though it pains him. She is truly, the best in everything she does.

It is now Saturday morning, a fresh day with no classes to attend to. Friday's, Saturdays and Sundays, hands down my favorite. I was looking forward to getting ready for the party with Pansy, but sadly, it was far to early to start.

I had woken up later than usual and it felt so nice to sleep in. 10 a.m, that's when I woke up today but on a normal day, I would wake up around 7 a.m, so this was relaxing.

After waking up, I sort of just decided to lounge. I have nothing to do until late at night, and I'm not freakishly hungry, so what was the rush?

"Y/n, Y/n open up!" Hermione yelled from the other side of my door. The pounding sound of her fist against the wood made my ears ring. It truly amazes me how she always finds out the Hufflepuff common room password, even though I make Cedric, change it at least twice a month.

I throw my pillow over my face, groaning loudly into the soft material. Having the sounds muffled. I was in such a comfortable position, and didn't want to move. I'm not sure if it was a lazy factor, or if I just didn't have the want.

A click from my door, a quick mutter, and suddenly my pillow begins rising from my face, giving me a fright. "Thank you for opening the door." She huffs sarcastically, grabbing onto my ankles and lifting my legs into the air. She sat on the bed where my feet once were, and released my legs onto her lap once she got comfortable.
