I jolted awake when I heard a desperate cry. It was coming from the unfamiliar body pressed against me. He was shaking, with rage and terror.
"Darden, calm down!" I cried, unaware of what was happening. Suddenly I realized he was having a nightmare. My eyes widened as I scooted over to him.
I traced his jawline and began singing a lullaby my father used to sing when I was a child. Before he became a drunk asshole.
Darden rocked in his place and I pushed his hair behind his ear. He slowly opened his eyes.
"What are you doing?" he grunted, jumping to his feet. I saw pain in his eyes.
"I was trying to help," I softly said under my breath.
"I don't need your help, you're a pathetic little girl,"
"Well you're a child," I told him, trying to hold back tears.
"If I'm a child then why do you want to fuck me so bad?" he yelled in my face, flipping the light on.
"I don't want to fuck you! You're the one who can't keep his hands off me!"
"Well you're the one who has nobody! Your father didn't even want you," he screamed. My heart sank. It was true. I swallowed, and looked him in the eyes. My lip started to quiver.
"All you want to do is hurt me," I coughed, trying not to cry.
"You are a slut," he grumbled. I bit down on my lip so hard that it started to bleed.
"Just like your mother," he continued. I whimpered, walked over, and slapped him with all my might.
"Why do you hate me so much," I hiccupped, shocked with a mix of anger, sadness, and fear. It was pouring rain outside, the cabin creaked with every footstep.
"I don't hate you, you moron," he kept going. "I love you,"
I nearly fainted, and the world was spinning. He loved me. And I was sitting there saying nothing like a fucking idiot.
"I love you Carlene Cherryl," he repeated. The window swung open and the coldness of the wind rushed into the cabin. He walked over, scooped me up in his arms, and brought me outside.
I didn't ask where we were going, or object. I was silent.
Darden placed me down on the ground.
"I love you so much that I want to rip off your clothes, and kiss every inch of you while the rain pours down and you beg for mercy,"

Romance"Princess," I said, changing the subject. "Do you have any feelings for me?" I asked, as seductively as I could. She rose from her chair. "No," she said. "Lies," "I fucking hate you, Darden," she crossed her arms. I realized that was the first time...
