I was breathing heavily, staring into his deep blue eyes. I didn't know what to say, do, or even what to think.
"Say it again, it sounded good," I whispered, a grin entering my lips. His eyes slowly made their way down my body checking out every single detail.
"Beg me, sweetheart," he teased. I wrapped my arms around his neck and he moved his lips into my ear.
"Let them know it's me who's making you scream," he smirked, sending a chill down my spine. He gripped my thighs with his strong arms and pulled them around his waist. Our lips brushed and the rain trickled down my body.
The touch of his skin alone made breathless noises leave my lips. My shirt stuck to my body and he pried it off. He slid his tongue under mine and I gasped for air. Our pleas to swallow each other were soaked with the rain. I yanked off his top and we slammed into a tree. His lips hit my jawline, and his hands moved from one part of my body to the next.
"You're mine," were the words that escaped his lips.
"I'm yours," I echoed.
His lips entered my chest as we sank into the grass, entangled in each other. His legs tickled mine and he ripped off my skirt. I held my eyes shut and traced his abs with my finger. The stubble from his chin tickled my stomach and I rolled on top.
The next thing I knew, we were both lying, breathlessly panting on the grass. The rain had slowed and our fingers were intertwined.
"I love you too," I whispered.
We were finally together, nothing separating us anymore. It felt so right.
I put my clothes back on and couldn't wait to feel Darden's lips on mine again. I saw him outside, and ran towards him.
As soon as I reached his arms, a familiar warmth erupted around me. His scent wafted into my nose, and I buried my head in his chest. The world had stopped and we were the only people in it. My hair fell out from behind my ears and in front of my face. Suddenly I felt something wet dripping down my shirt silently. I looked down at my white shirt, with his hands on my waist. The feeling felt like I was coated with a bucket of water. I couldn't think straight at first, the first thing that came to my mind was rain. My mind drifted and I sighed. Rain. All this waiting and I had finally found the one. But that's when I noticed the thick red liquid. Blood, coating us both. Was it my blood or his blood? I had been so absorbed in his arms that I hadn't even heard the gunshot.
"We got him!" shouted an unfamiliar voice. There were two men, hunters. One held a large gun and the other held the Wanted poster for Darden.
Darden dropped to the ground and I screamed.
"I'm not ready to die," he whispered, fighting for breath.
I stared into the glossy eyes of the one I had grown to love. Tears ran down my face, and I was stuck in my own sobs.
"I'm so sorry," I cried hysterically, attempting to move his limp body. He deserved to be somewhere special, somewhere he could rest in peace.
Giving up, I let out a whimper. I leaned in, and kissed his lifeless cheek one last time.
"I'll see you soon," I whispered into his ear. Standing up slowly, I followed my own footsteps.
I found myself at the top of a bridge, staring down at the piles of rocks below.
I was right, after all. Life is like a book. And this was my last chapter.

Romans"Princess," I said, changing the subject. "Do you have any feelings for me?" I asked, as seductively as I could. She rose from her chair. "No," she said. "Lies," "I fucking hate you, Darden," she crossed her arms. I realized that was the first time...
