— cause for concern , Lovejoy
The LED light throbbed over his head, fluorescent indigo against the otherwise sterile white space. A single chair sat in the centre of the room. No door, no windows.
Simply a chair and a blue rose, stark even in the stutteringly lit...cold...so cold.
He looked down, he was clothed in a ratty pair of jeans, torn and dirtied, still so, so cold,
All he could do was sit there, no energy to cry, nor to attempt to leave.
A small black tear hit the floor by his hand.
Ever so small, but bigger, slowly so much bigger, spreading through hidden cracks in the startlingly blank canvas of the room, a masterpiece if that's what you could call such inevitable destruction, a catastrophic version of a once happy ending.
As his blank prison caved in around him, it crept up his arms, a web of dark lines running through his body, before blooming into blue roses, spouting from his ribs like a florists. So blue....vivid.
Petals hit the floor, audible in the deafening silence, barely, sure, but still there, like that tick, tick, tick.Always inevitable, isn't it, Tommy? Funny how everything comes to a full circle, lonely, outcast Tommy. Loud to make up for the emptiness in your head, oh how quiet it is.
Funny that Tommy...
Stop stop make it stop ring stop stop stop , please .
He dropped to his knees, his head hitting the hard ground, gasping as the tight thorns of honesty tightened around his heart...maybe he really would always be lonely...
Crack.
Ice, ice plunging through the deep depths of the sea that was his life.
Crack.
Red hot lava, beneath his skin, oh so hot, burning up from inside, a mottled red, close to that colour...oh so red, crimson, the colour of dripping roses that wilted under his gaze, once so pure, poisoned by that he couldn't see, couldn't reach.
Crack.
The snap of the rope, a plummet, steep fall as he free fell through the clouds, oh so fluffy, yet not enough, never enough, ice cold and locked away like his heart in the hands of those he...
The chair fell with a clatter of plastic on metal and in turn metal on hard concrete.
Crack.
The sound of
Of a broken thread, a broken heart.
Of shattered dreams
Shards of memories.Of lost time, so far gone
Bye bye
The thick sarcasm tainted Tommy's tongue with the feeling of lies, musky yet cold.Still so cold.
The darkness opened to swallow him whole.
And he welcomed it.

The sliver of sunlight lit the back of ranboos eyelids in a soft, filtered pale orange, the colour of a thousand setting suns.
"Ranboo? Ranboo wake up , you've got to go to school," a voice shouted from what seemed to be quite a way away. He opened his eyes to stare at his dark purple ceiling, that always seemed to press in on him, but in a comforting way, as enderchest would press into his hand as he stroked it, and how patches would soemtimes come and lie on his lap, a comforting presence to anchor himself to the real world, to stop from drifting off again...that purple lit room far to similar-Shut up, shut up , shutupshutup!
He held his head in his hands, pressing a cool pillow to his head. He is here, slightly too warm in bed, fluffy bed socks wrapped round his feet, and pyjamas hung loose of his wiry frame.
