Chapter 4

I Need A Doctor

The whole time Mikeal dragged me through the Cathedral, a worn down building, with church pews looked as if it hadn't bin used in centuries, I cursed him to hell. Mikeal speed raced us down the threshold, past the alter, to the back of the place. Finally we reached the confession stands; Mikeal roughly shoved me inside a booth, closing it behind him.

"Stay here. Be quiet, I'll be back." He snarls. Before I could utter a final word, he's off. Running to the door, I catch my last sight of him, before he disappears from my vision.

Slumping down on the door, I stay there, thinking. How could I let this happen? What’s wrong with this guy? I need to get out of here, before he comes back. With that thought in mind, I drill it through my head, I WILL escape, this nightmare.

Standing on my own two feet, I step back, brace myself, and run. Slamming my self on the door, I crumple to the ground. My arm shoots up in pain, what is this door made of?! Steel?!

Howling, in pain, I crawl around the small floor. Not that there's much room. Curling into a small ball, I try to comfort myself. It's probably dislocated.

Never will I ever do something as stupid as that again. Staying put, will do.

Minutes go by, when I decide to sit up. I can't let it heal itself like this. My effort to move causes more pain in my arm. Wincing, I finally stand, taking a look at it, I can see the bone in the wrong place. Ouch.

This is going to hurt.

Leaning against the wall, I breathe in a few breathes. Ripping the ends of my tank top, I wrap it in a roll, and stick it in my mouth. At long last, I can't put it on hold any longer; I push my shoulder against the hard stone and hear a nauseating crack. My screams are hidden by the fabric in my mouth.

I sink to the floor, resting my head on the cushioned seat. Panting, I feel my shoulder back in position. Thank god.

I'm surprised, Mikeal didn't hear me. The only sound I heard so far was my soft breathing. Well that was until, I heard, movement from the church.

".. Here pretty human...” A quiet voice purred.

I could feel my face loose its color.

"... Come out; come out where ever you are...” Its voice cracks, into a sickening laugh, others follow.

Huddling deeper in the ground, I try to hide. Bringing my knees to my chest, I hide my face in it. Finn and I always believed we were invisible if we did this, a silly trick we did. Never realized how pathetic it was until now.

"..Shh...” One voice said.

"Can't wait...”

 "Taste it...”

"..Close by...”

".. She's mine-"

"Over there!"

"Move!"

Deadly whispers all over, until the rustle of noise came in a crash. I didn't dare look up at the horror that stood before me.

I hugged myself closer, hoping to get away. Terror itching its way into my system. Banging at the door, I cover my ears with my hands. Make it stop!
