Her personal training, something she was initially looking forward to, now continued on in the same tortuous manor like that for a few more weeks. Hayami would get brought to the training hall bright and early before dawn even broke, get electrocuted through the unremovable bracelets every time she refused to kill a prisoner for the sake of practicing her new jutsus, then rigorous taijutsu training.

The Raikage's personal taijutsu regimen for Hayami consisted of strength training, sparring with some of his top brass, and endurance-based workouts. She still continued to infuse her chakra into her taijutsu attacks, her fighting style beginning to resemble a mix of Lady Tsunade and the Raikage. After about a month of being trained by both from the time before the sun rose until well after it set, it was only natural she would find a unique way to blend the two unique and powerful fighting styles together.

Every week she would compile letters for those back in Konoha. She first wrote to Lady Tsunade, practically begging for her assistance. She also wrote to Sakura, partially to say how strong she was getting and part to tell her how much she truly missed the pink-headed girl. Hayami couldn't find any courage to tell her how she was truly feeling and how she was truly being treated there, she knew the hot-tempered girl wouldn't be too pleased at all. But it's not like she could do anything about it anyways.

Sakura,

Hey Sakura! I miss you dearly, my favorite pink-haired kunoichi. I hope you're still training hard back in Konoha. I'm truly working my ass off over here so by the next time you get back, I'll be able to beat you in a taijutsu only match- I'd bet my last ryō on it! Anyways, I hope you're keeping everyone in line like how I know you can, especially Naruto, don't let him do any stupid stuff and make sure e eats at least some vegetables besides the ones you can get in ramen.

I hope your missions are going well- make me proud, Sakura!

Hayami

The purple-eyed lady also wrote to Naruto. This was the hardest letter for her to write at first when she began writing at the start of her stay in Kumogakure. She would continuously write a few sentences, crumple up the paper, toss it in the waste basket, and try again. It would normally start out with a 'Hey, Naruto,' or a 'Hi, sunshine,' referring to how she called him a big ball of sunshine once upon a time.

"Oh god, that's idiotic. How can I write to him if I can't even figure out how to address him without sounding stupid? I'll just put his name at the top. But is that too informal? Will he think I don't care about him?" Hayami groaned and dropped her head down on the desk in her room. "I'm being put through hell every day and somehow my biggest problem is figuring out how to address the guy I like in a letter I'm writing? Unbelievable." Her voice came out muddled by the paper the was pressed against her face. She decided eventually to just write what she was feeling.

Naruto,

I'm sorry I didn't write sooner. It's been a cray to say the least these past few weeks- but seriously don't worry, I've been holding my own. Now, I don't want you to worry or be sad or miss me or be thinking about any sad shit like that. You better believe I'm getting stronger so when I get back we'll have a proper sparring match. I know you're pushing yourself incredibly hard (and that's part of the reason why I keep pushing forward during these tough days). Days like these seem to be my norm now... but hey, if it means I'll get stronger then I'll do what it takes. I want to be able to stand beside you and everyone else in Konoha, be able to protect you all and show the Leaf Village how much I care for it- it is my home after all.

Take care & see you eventually,

Hayami

Her messages to Lady Tsunade were far from the simplistic and positive ones she sent to Naruto and Sakura. The young lady physically couldn't bring herself to write down the torturous mental and physical exhaustion she was facing every day when writing to the two teenagers. However, the girl still held on to the hope that Tsunade would send for her, get he out of this hell hole soon.
