Red coated the soles of Hayami's feet. She was frozen in fear. No, maybe it wasn't fear, she was not scared. Potentially scared of being alone and the outcomes, but she was not afraid of any of the assailants that had murdered her clan. As the assailants were her own kin. Having resided in The Valley of Hell with her clan her entire life, she knew everyone and everything about them. This land was unbeknownst, little more than a rumor, a whisper in the wind to anyone not a member of the clan. No one outside of the clan was privy to their knowledge and affairs.

There was not another living presence that Hayami could detect in The Valley of Hell. By having been born to the Heads of the Clan, she was exceptionally harmonies with the chakra within herself and others in her clan. Being able to resonate and detect it quite nicely was always a strong suit of hers. That, and her kekkei genkai.

As a matter of fact, Hayami was to be crowned the new Head of the Chinoike Clan tomorrow morning at dawn. Her white yukata with long, billowing sleeves and red camellias that decorated the bottom hems of the garment. Next to the yukata that hung neatly on the outside of her wardrobe were black sandals with a slight heel to them and a white camellia, attached to a hair clip, which simply begged to be placed in the young woman's contrasting dark hair.

The young woman naturally stood out due to her dark hair. Everyone hailing from the Chinoike clan boasted light platinum blonde hair that on occasion could present with a slight silver hue. If being the only daughter of the head family was not enough, being the only child with dark hair would really make her stand out. However, now there seemed to be no one around to comment on how different her hair made her seem.

Every hallway of every home and building alike seemed to be tarnished with the blood of deceased clan members. There was one spot that seemed untouched in what could be the most ironic and mockery filled spot. The wardrobe in her bedroom seemed to be the only thing untouched by the indescribable bloodshed that occurred mere moments ago. The wardrobe that held her formal wear for her coronation the next day was absolutely spotless. While every other thing in her life it seemed was in tatters. The reason for the bloodshed and annihilation of her clan was painfully obvious.

Hayami was to blame. Or at least, she considered herself to be the one at fault. This all happened on the eve of her coronation to become Headwoman of the Chinoike Clan. Tensions were building for a while as the members were deciding whether or not to attack the Uchiha Clan for what they had done to the Chinoike ancestors- forcing them to live in Hell Valley. However, when word got to the village that the Uchiha were already slaughtered, the anger grew and was funneled into hatred of one another. Brother hated brother, and sister hated sister.

There was civil unrest while her parents were in charge, yes, but the idea of a soon-to-be sixteen year old woman taking over was the straw that broke the back of every Chinoike Clan member. Hayami's parents were not the best rulers, that was not a secret, but they truly did love their people dearly. However, quite understandably, the one they loved the most was Hayami.

Hayami, having turned sixteen just mere seconds ago, it was now the day she was supposed to attend her coronation and bask in the love and light that was the Chinoike Clan. Due to the growing unrest of the clan, she was forced to take over and seize power at such a young age. The growing unrest was too much for her parents and they were quick to wish the best of luck to their daughter and watch her succeed. Her parents, Haruki and Hekima Chinoike, were so optimistic and hopeful that their daughter would bring the much needed love, light, peace, and honor to the Chinoikes. These were just foolish dreams, hoping the minute she turned sixteen all would be resolved; hoping that her clan would acknowledge her, treat her as a ruler, someone who deserved to be the Head of The Clan- not someone who got it by being lucky. It is too bad that now Hayami was questioning herself and if she really was just what some adults of the clan called her: a lucky brat
