Brutal

The last memory

my last happy memory with them was when we were 7 and 8 we were running through the field after we had hid the only money we had in the crease of our brown couch. I remember our mama laughing as hard as she could because our papa was getting annoyed by us.  Our papa had been chasing us through the field when my dress had gotten caught on a piece of wheat. I frantically tried to get dress off of it but papa had caught up to me and lifted me off the ground and started spinning me around like a superhero souring through the air, id always dreamed that one day I would become a superhero and save the world so I begged and begged for my papa not to stop spinning me around. after a few more seconds he had put me down and me, my papa, my sister Wanda and my brother Pietro started skipping back home laughing as we did so. we had went in to eat dinner and after that we had sat down for tv night. Every Friday was tv night which consisted of one of us picking a show that papa had brought home for us to get better at our English.

we had lived in a very small apartment which had everything in one room except for the bathroom of course, the only bed was one side of the room while the kitchen and living room was on the other side. This tv night it was Wanda's turn to pick what we watched and she picked The "Dick Van Dycke show" just as she always did. Pietro always got so annoyed when it was Wanda's turn because he never liked watching her picks. Wanda and Pietro were twins but as much as they loved each other they fought a lot. me on the other hand i was 1 year younger then them and i was just like Pietro i would complain about Wanda's picks but inside i was always excited because i loved the "Dick Van Dycke show."

we had all been laughing when Sally had been talking about her date in the show and how it would be better if she showed up late. the very last thing i remember was hearing a deafening bang and everything going black.
