Kaitlyn's POV:
We left, mid-afternoon. Ellie, Carl, Rick, and I. Ellie had to prove herself. Show Rick how good she was. She just, she has to relax. I stopped her before she was going to prove herself.

"Ellie, relax. Just remember aim, breathe, pull. Got it."

"Got it."

"Good luck." I told her.

Rick found two wanderers.

"Dad she only has to kill one unless she kills both okay." Carl said.

"I know. I prefer she kills both. But if she really needs it we help." He replied.

I took a breath. I though he was going to say no and she can handle it. I know she can but, I'm still worried.

We walked a little closer and she started to relax. We watched a little farther. Me and Carl closest to her. I was on her left, he was on her right. We were covering her.

I closed my eyes. I was so nervous. She shot twice. I opened my eyes and they lied on the ground. Both shot directly I between the eyes. Me and Carl looked at Rick. He nodded and walked away.

"What does that mean?" Ellie asked Carl.

"He's thinking."

Ellie's POV:
I took two breaths and shot twice. I looked at what I did. Two perfect shots. They both were on the ground. Dead. I felt good. I felt like I nailed it.

We looked at Rick. He nodded and left. He was thinking about it. Carl, Kaitlyn, and I walked back. Kaitlyn and Carl saying how good I did. I was proud, but scared.

"Do you think he will let me?"

"Maybe. I can't tell." Carl told me.

I nodded and we left to our cells. I lied on my bed staring at the wall next to me. I decided to pull out my knife and ingrate something on the wall. I twisted a hole into it instead. I was bored out of my mind, but nervous. Mostly bored. I lied for a while before I heard footsteps.
