I walk to my mom's room and knock. Adrien stands behind me. There was no response, I start to think 'where could she be?' Then I hear distant voices in Gabriel's office. Adrien and I exchange confused looks, then shrug. We walk over to his dad's office door. I press my ear against it and my hands on the door. I hear a man and a lady.

"Are you ready? I gave you what you wanted, your daughter and a chance of revenge to those who got to take care of her before you."

"Yes, Ladybug and Cat Noir won't know what hit them."

"Then let's start this final battle early. Should be easy because Ladybug is dead."

"Oh well let's strike tonight at 10 pm."

"You remember what button to press?"

"Of course, I'm not messing this up. Cindy shall die."

I gasp and fall to the floor. It all makes sense now. My mom is upset at Cindy for being able to take care of me. But why to the point of murder? Well...The car crash plus emotional vulnerability drove her mad-

"Are you ok y/n?" Adrien grabs my arm and lifts me up.

"Y-yeah..."

He gives me a look, "what did you hear?"

"I don't know how to say this but...your father is hawkmoth and my mom is working with him. She's going to kill Cindy! They're going to strike early...tonight at 10 pm."

Adrien rubs the back of his neck and looks down. He starts looking around trying not to cry, "we got this, we're Ladybug and Cat Noir."

"Well actually, call me LadyBear."

"Ok," he smiles and gives a look.

I push his shoulder slightly, "hey it's the best I can come up with right now." I start to laugh and so does he. "I'm glad that made you smile."

He looks at me and we share a moment. Just us staring at each other. That's all we can seem to do since I feel too guilty to kiss him again.

He clears his throat, "we should go prepare, they are going to strike today, not tomorrow."

{Quick description of what they did}

We trained and trained, I finally got my yoyo control down. I was able to keep up with Cat Noir. He helped me with my combat and reflexes. I finally took control of both kwamis and was able to control both.

{Present time}

It's 9:28 pm. We feed our kwamis and ourselves. We take a nap.

{30 minutes later}

I shoot straight up. Oh shit it's 9:58. I shake Adrien, "Adrien! Wake up! It's almost time."

He wakes up in panic. Then calms down, "ok let's do this."

"Are you ready? Because I'm really nervous."

He grabs my shoulders and smiles, "you're incredible, you're ready."
