On the day of my departure, I arrived at the airport with my little sister and my parents. I felt carsick. So once I got down, I was feeling unsophisticated. Then I saw my phone ringing. It was Zerina.
Zerina: Where are you, Samyu? We are all at the terminal waiting for you.
Samyu: Hey, I am almost there. Just wait for five minutes.
Zerina: Hey, hey! Don't hang up! We forgot to discuss the dress color code, hehe. By any chance, are you wearing pink today? The boys are in blue and I am wearing a pink t-shirt. What color do you wear?
Thanks to God, I also planned to wear a pink top that day. It was a pure coincidence. (Dress codes indeed played a major part in all our occasions.)
As soon as I went there, I saw my teacher, friends and their family members. (We are all grateful to our parents for their support, understanding, and thoughtful suggestions in hard times which meant more to us). We took pictures, prayed and checked if we've got everything with us, and went inside.
C'mon, it is our first trip and we wanted to sit together. We begged the passenger assistant to put our seats next to each other. First, he said that it's not possible but then he agreed to do it. We got our passes and finished our immigration processes. We looked around as we loved the ambiance at the airport and had some snacks.
Finally, Our flight was called and our tickets were checked, we boarded the airliner through a boarding tube which will lead directly to the door. The flight hostess and steward showed us our seats. It was in the middle column and never had the chance to peep through the window. We were eager to see the cockpit asked the steward if it is possible to do that. He agreed and took us to the cockpit and we had a small conversation with the pilots. Later we came back to our seats, clicked our seat belts on!
"But the flight?" Then things began to happen. Once everything was ready, the pilot started the engines and began rolling towards the runway. Once reaching the starting end of the runway, we heard the engines revving up. The engines roar. We started to move forward." We had our dinner, watched movies until 4:30. But we were not able to sleep because the place was insufficient. So we had to take off the armrests and sleep lying down on each other.
Friday 8:12 am
So our plane is supposed to arrive at the German airport at 8 am but it's already 8:12. I was shocked to see the time and the plane hasn't landed yet.
I was asking Yusef, Zerina, and Lewis to wake up but they were dead tired of sleeping late.
Why? What happened? Why wasn't the plane landed yet? How are we supposed to handle this situation?
Stay tuned to know what happened to us.
