It was a week after the smash - hit success that was Liesl's birthday party. Bolton and Gabriella Montez were back in America and, as if it was unexpected surprise, they were being praised for their performance. Apparently it was videoed.
"What?! Captain Von Trapp never told us!" Yes, they were mortified watching themselves back as they sung the first duet they ever sung together. God, memories. They had been given special awards and everything. Praise be, praise be!
Meanwhile Liesl was wallowing in a knee - high pool of gifts. Wow, the rush of her birthday hadn't gone just yet. There was still a quarter of the cake left and Maria had to get a new guitar string because it snapped as they played it so much! Time and time again she thanked them for the wonderful party and time and time again they told her not to mention it. Max was so pleased with the performance that he had asked for them to perform at every child's birthday to come. Gladly they agreed and went to their piano rehearsal after a fourty five minute phone call.
Gabriella traipsed into her biology class a little later to find that she and Troy had been nominated for an award.... No one in the school was talking to them about it....
