I wake up two hours later lying on a stretcher. "What the hell happened?" I said drousily, barely managing to squint at the unrecognisable person by my bedside.
"You smashed it pretty hard, Gab, you've even got a bandage, see?" I raised my head slightly to discover that he was right. Oh yeah! I must have really done some damage to my knee. God, it hurts! I sighed and looked up at him.
"Will I be alright?" I weakly asked.
He chuckled softly as I asked, "Of course, don't be so silly. Just rest for a bit now, okay?" Okay... I closed my eyes and drifted back to sleep.
